Looks good, keeps flag from furling
I looked at a lot of reviews before buying this flagpole, so I hope this helps you decide whether to buy it. I've had it up for a couple of weeks now (with a white metal Annin pole mount) and the spinning-pole function works very well at keeping the flag from being furled on the pole—or from staying that way for long. Holds up well in normal winds, though I'd of course take it down in a real storm. Looks great in white, though I do wonder how durable the "gold" finish will be on the end of the pole. I'm using this with a 3x5 nylon flag; that size goes well with the six-foot length here and it holds the weight well. No issues with the rings that hold the grommeted flag moving on the pole at all; the flag has stayed taut on the edge that goes along the flagpole.

Operates very well - bends at the end though.
Several points to make here. First, the spinner works like a charm. My flag only very occasionally wraps over the pole now and it usually comes free by itself in a few minutes. It happens when the flag drapes half-way over the pole so it isn't the spinner's fault. Second, I had to rig up a way to attach the flag to the lower end of the spinner (half-way down the pole) as the little hoops weren't right for the flag. I just used a short piece of white rope and then covered the knot with white electrical tape to stop it undoing and to make it look better. It works. Third, the mounting bracket is really good and very sturdy. However, the high leverage caused by the flag in high wind eventually ripped it away from the house by pulling the screws out. It was just in a pine board. So I made a mounting plate from a small oak board, screwed the bracket to the plate and the ends of the plate to the house. Perfect! Now no problems. Fourth, after multiple high winds, the metal tube kinked a little near the bracket and I thought at first it would snap off. That's because the metal is thin and the bracket inserts into the end just for an inch or so. If it went in further it might have been ok. However, when I took the pole down to fix the third issue above, I could see that the pole was not going to snap and the 10 degree bend it hand was not going to get worse. If it eventually breaks I will probably buy another as it is the best I have found.

Scam! Made in China!
What a scam, ordered this specifically because it was made in the USA, as stated both in the listing and as answered by the seller in the questions. Scam artist, not made in America, total garbage to fly your american-made American flag on!

Doesn't quite fit
They say this this is a 1" flag pole. It isn't. It is 7/8" or 15/16". Not something you would typically notice, but it is really loose in the mounting bracket. That's probably why the other reviewer's bent. There hasn't been any really strong winds since I got mine, but it wouldn't surprise me if it bent too. I have another Annin flag pole that fits the bracket much better. And I tried this pole in the bracket for the other flag, just to make sure it wasn't a bracket issue. I haven't used the attachment rings because the grommets on the flag I have are too large. I ordered a set with clips, I just hope they fit the pole.It you don't plan on flying a flag in really windy weather. And you don't mind cranking down on the set screw in the bracket, this is a good pole. It goes together easily and the spinner keeps the flag from getting twisted up.

A decent product which some design issues.
Overall, this is a decent product. I like the quality of the aluminum pole with its very nice white painted finish. The spinner feature is really nice. However, I have a few issues. First, the diameter of the pole is smaller than the the inside diameter of the shaft in the mounting bracket. This results in a lot of pole movement even though the pole is secured by a set screw in the bracket. I got around this by adding a thick washer which I bent to fill up the extra space in the bracket shaft which worked out well for me. However, I could see a lot of buyers getting frustrated by this design flaw. Also the ball at the end of the pole is a gaudy color.

Happy with it, nice finish, easy to install
Very nice, pole is made of aluminum (rust free), nice white paint, sturdy strong base cast zamac powder painted. The tangle free feature works very nicely, though I had not strong winds during Memorial Day.The only upgrade that I did is that I inserted a 3" x 1/2" pipe at the bottom of the pole that attaches to the base, that's to give it more thickness to the pipe so the screw / knob that hold the flag pole will not collapse the pole while tightening.Box is printed, made in ChinaThe installation was easy; I installed it in a CBS wall with the hardware that came with it.It will last a long time, and keep the nice finish for the occasional national holidays.

plastic parts break in wind after one month
CA does not get strong winds but the plastic parts on mine broke just after one month with some wind. It was so sad to come home from a very short shopping trip to find my flag on the ground. Not sure what to do now the way these poles are made you need their clips to hang your flag

On the better side it has ball bearings and no more flag ...
It has no way to attach the bottom part of the flag. There is a clip and ring at the top but not the bottom. Had to buy rotating mounting rings. On the better side it has ball bearings and no more flag tangle around the pole as the pole and the rings rotate. what were they thinking? You should only attach the top of the flag?
