It's not just a book about Venice, it's also a book about what one feels and what comes to mind when you visit one of the world's most amazing cities... The language and the style of writing are quite special too- a truly bi-lingual writer Brodsky brought an exciting flavour of Russian into the books he has written in English.

Réflexions banales sur tout..et rien,parfois sur Venise.Un tissu de banalités.Extremement décevant vu la carrière de l'auteur.Il semble qu'on mette le mot Venise sur les couvertures pour doper la vente.
