Best Cold Water Therapy
After an anterior hip replacement, the Ossur machine was critical to my recovery. Easy to setup, I placed the unit on an old water cooler. Placing a towel underneath minimized any wet floor conditions. Each day I emptied the unit and added the required amount of water. Then used 3 frozen water bottles and ice. For the rest of the day just kept swapping frozen water bottles. Recommend a minimum of 9 bottles to rotate. The machine is very quiet and works great. Hose length was long enough and the quick connects made it easy to detach when needed. No leaks! Although not required, I also used an ace bandage to improve the pad contact to my thigh. The only improvement would be a power switch or remote. Having it on the water cooler made it easier to reach the power cord as that’s the way to turn it off/on. Found the control setting at 3/4 was cool enough for hours. The use of this machine definitely reduced the swelling and sped up my recovery time. Highly recommend!

Outstanding Product
Had a hip replacement and this cold water therapy system is great! Other machines recommend by my Doctor's office were significantly more expensive, significantly. No matter what your injury they have a pad to cover your affected area. Good product

Worked great for a few weeks...then leaked everywhere...no customer service
I loved this machine at first. It was fool proof to use and delivered a steady stream of coldness. I used it for my post op recovery for my hip, but after about 24 days the wrap started to leak. I used gaffers tape to plug the hole. But then another leak popped up, and another, and ANOTHER, and then it was completely unusable as it would totally soak both me and the couch. I tried contacting the seller for a replacement but got no response at all. So, back it went! Sadly this machine wasn't built to last.

Seriously recommend for surgery/injury recovery!
I recently had right hip labrum tear arthroscopic surgery (in smaller words I had a scope repair for my hip). Because it’s a fairly non-invasive procedure, my insurance didn’t cover an ice machine for recovery. I was recommended by someone who had the procedure previously to get one because it makes healing so much more comfortable. This machine was a lifesaver! I’ve used ice packs for months, but this machine was so easy to use and the pad stayed cold for way longer. I didn’t find it leaked at all, it was easy to have at my bedside (it was on my left and I put the tubing under a pillow under my knees to avoid feeling it). I would seriously recommend this to anybody that has had surgery to help with inflammation and pain relief! Also, I did not find I needed to fill it completely with ice. I took a smaller sized mixing bowl and filled that with ice, and once that melted I kept that water in and refilled the ice for the next round. If you don’t have an ice maker in your freezer, putting frozen ice lunch packs works just as well! Just make sure you have enough water so it can fill your pad and cycle through!

It circulates the cool water for hours
I ordered this prior to getting a hip replacement. You can order this with the appropriate pad - knee - hip - shoulder. I used small water bottles, froze them, put them in and added water. It circulates the cool water for hours. You can leave this on for long periods of time because it cools rather than freezes the area where it is applied. Easy to handle, store, and use. Highly recommend if you have the need for regular icing. I have read some negative reviews. It is important to follow the instructions that come with the unit. My reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the pads are only good for one use. If you have a subsequent need to use the cold rush machine, you will probably need to order new pads.

Does the trick
I’m very happy with this purchase. I froze 2 sets of plastic water bottles (that has a little waterremoved so they were a little smaller than standard), and my husband or I replaced them at the start of the day and in the evening. This made icing my hip, thigh and knee very easy because the machine was always cold. I also bought a set of two icing pads that I sometimes used when I needed extra coverage after a long walk or when I was icing in a different room/traveling and didn’t want to move the machine.

Glad we purchased this
This machine is wonderful. We purchased for post op pain relief for a teenager, and it works beautifully. He was off pain meds within 4 days (including Tylenol). He uses it after pt and home exercises for twenty minutes, 4-6 times a day. It gets and stays cold for hours- we refill the machine at the beginning of the day and that’s it. We do follow instructions but use two 16oz frozen water bottles in place of some of the ice and this seems to work.

Beware; if product leaks you can't exchange or return
The top you need a happier to open and close. Very hard to open for my strong man. It does not get cold enough to put on any body part. Really needed this and it doesn't work. Just make you wet and hose leaks all over the wooden floors. I must of gotten a dudThe only positive it has; is it's very quite
