A Textile Guide to the Highlands of Chiapas
This is a small, but very informative guide to the clothing of villages of Chiapas where villagers can still be identified by their typical blouses, dresses, shirts, etc., that are still being worn. In many cases the images on these textiles date back even to pre-Columbian times. Chip Morris gives examples from many villages and also discusses the meaning of various symbols used, as well as the types of weaving used. The information is easily found and the pictures are very good. This book was purchased from Amazon in an easy transaction and the book was well-packaged and promptly delivered.
