Spellbinders Elegant Occasion Sentiments by Becca Feeken Glimmer Hot Foil Plate, Metal

These plates are pretty amazing. They are elegant and foil nicely on acetate.

I am new to foiling. I use these metal stamps & dies with my Gemini FoilPress and they work very well. The sentiments come out clear and the dies cut cleanly. I then used the "waste" on card stock and also have great results. I foil pressed the sentiment, then used the dies - so easy. I tried foiling with the die on the hot plate and building upward as well as reversing the order of the stamp, foil and card stock. Both work equally well. I have always had great success with Spellbinders and this set is no exception.

My wife is into making greeting cards, and she really likes these. Enough said!

I really like that these have matching cutting dies. It creates more professional results. I wish there was a get well sentiment as well.

I just love this Glimmer Die set to add foiling to my cards. I have used this set quite a few times to foil sentiments on cards that I have made. Becca Feeken's dies and glimmer die set are always elegant and add that something special to all cards. So this glimmer die set did not disappoint.

I love these dies. They are so elegant and pretty. I have the Vagabond Die Cutter Machine. I ran it through twice. But, it does not cut thin paper well because the paper rips due to small twists and turns when you disengage the paper.

I absolutely love these and hope they bring out a Christmas foil and die cut set too! Worked so easily, I am reasly pleased!

I recently purchased a hot foil plate that runs through my big shot. Never seen one before. Never done this before. First attempt with a normal thinlit die did not work. (Although the online tutorial said it would! Maybe it was the die I used) So I found these. Look like dies, but are solid, not hollow, like a normal die. They work brilliantly! Very first go. Perfect words on card! Look beautiful and professional and it’s so easy! I paid under £40 for my foil heating pad, and the seller kindly sent me some foils for free as I’ve never done it before. These dies are cheap in price(for what you get), but very well made. The other lovely thing, is they DO come with a die ‘surround’ that means you can foil your sentiment, then cut it out! So you can make 3D sentiments, not just stamping it straight onto the card if you choose not too. They can also be used just to emboss, which they do beautifully. (I found that out because I’d put my card in but left it folded! So it embossed it too on the inside!) I paid £13 plus £5 postage. Give or take a few pennies. And you get five sentiments with their matching surround die. You get; Happy Birthday, Thankyou, Congratulations, Happy Anniversary and With sympathy. So a good rounded set for every occasion. The perfect beginners kit. I highly recommend these. And will vouch for the fact they work with my bigshot with a different foil machine than the spellbinder one. I needed the hot foil platform, stamp chosen (face up), foil(face down), card (face down the side I wanted to stamp on) One die cutting plate/pad, thick card shim and a thin card shim, in that order for my result. Note only ONE cutting plate/pad. The hot foil platform is kind of like the basic thick platform that comes with your bigshot, in thickness and is quite long, although not as long as an extended platform. But not all of it is the ‘hot plate’ so I only needed a standard size cutting pad. I highly recommend these. And I felt so proud of my efforts!

These does use hot foil paper and I don't use them. The results are not as good on their own.
