It is free to receive incoming calls while in Israel and calls to Israeli numbers and "back home" are much cheaper than using your mobile phone abroad. It is free to receive SMS.
- Please Note: you must have an unlocked phone to use this Israeli prepaid SIM card. We offer SIM free phones, specially selected for their suitability for international travel. Your SIM card is ready activated so can be used immediately on arrival in Israel. Your first call will activate your pay as you go SIM card service and will enable you to receive calls. Your new Israeli phone number is indicated on the SIM card envelope underneath a barcode.

    Defective SIM Card

We bought this SIM card along with an unlocked cell phone for my daughter's trip to Israel. When she arrived, the phone worked fine, and with the SIM card, was able to connect to the Pelephone network. However, despite following the instructions included with the SIM card, she was not able to activate service. She took the phone and SIM card to a Pelephone store, where she was told the SIM card was defective, and needed to be replaced. Advice to travellers: By all means, buy an unlocked phone before you go. But wait until you are in country to buy your SIM card. That way you can be certain it works before you complete the transaction.
