how thick is the blade?

This machete is 2mm thick. I have used it to chop down trees. The blade needed some work to get a good edge on it. I prefer my Tramontina Bolo Machete for the majority of the work that I do with a machete. It is light, well balanced and holds an edge for several hours of chopping brush.
