This thing is 100% evil noise.It sounds, and looks, like something out of Dr Frankenstein’s lab. If you need just over-the-top racket, this is the pedal for you.I likes it.

It really does give a different sounding distortion than I've had before. It's very "electric." I like it. It certainly won't be my main overdrive, but it's a nice change up. Plus watching the lightning in the tube is really cool.

Very impressed by the visual feedback of the xenon tube in it. Not all settings are sound pleasing but once you find yours sounds incredible, specially with a good reverb after it.

I can't say enough about this pedal. It's one of the coolest I've ever owned. You can get a good amount of distortion out of it. Not as much as the high gain channel on my EVH 5150iii EL34 but definitely enough to lay down some metal. The low freq and high freq knobs are both very responsive and can help shape your tone in any direction you want to go with it. The blend knob determines the wet/dry ratio of your sound. You can have clean up front with a gritty fuzz just as clear backing it, all fuzz/distortion, or anywhere in between. I don't think this pedal can be classified as just a distortion pedal or just a fuzz pedal because it can do both very well. You will notice the sound of the effect is a little different than most fuzz or distortion pedals. No matter where you have the knobs set it sounds like the buzz of electricity when you hit a note. The settings just determine the intensity. You can tighten it up to the level of playing math metal riffs, bring it down to a gritty fuzzy White Stripes type sound, or dial it down even further for a beautifully broken sound I can only describe as electric industrial dirt. The built in noise gate is one of the best functional gates I've ever seen. Depending on the knob settings you can let a note ring for days or make it shut off to absolute silence within a second of strumming, very versatile but it is determined by the settings of the knobs, study the knob settings and you can get so much out of this pedal with very little effort. I looked at this pedal for about a year and kept thinking it seemed a little gimmicky or it wasn't worth as much as they ask for it. Well now I know better, high quality build with high quality parts and the knowledge of a mad scientist. I purchased this pedal almost 6 months ago and it hasn't left my rig once.
