Works great so far no issues, would buy another if needed!

As someone who hadn’t upgraded their 18650 charger in quite a while, this UMS2 feels like a huge step up. The design is sleek and compact, yet it delivers an impressive amount of information, showing not just charge status and level, but also how long it’s been charging, the total capacity charged, the rate, and even the battery’s health. It’s packed with intelligent features, automatically detecting battery size, type, and optimal voltage, and adjusting the charge rate based on power input. You can still fine-tune settings manually if you want, which is a nice touch if needed. The USB-C connection makes it more universally compatible (though note it doesn’t come with a wall plug), and the included 2-battery organizer case is a nice bonus. Charging speed is much faster and more consistent than my older LUC D2, and the spring-loaded battery bays are smooth and easy to adjust for different sizes. The wide compatibility with various battery types and material builds makes it a very versatile tool for home use. My only minor wish is for an auto-off feature, but otherwise it’s silent, efficient, and very well-designed, at a great price for the value. Hopefully it holds on just as long as my old charger as well! So far, I’m thoroughly impressed and would definitely recommend!

Works well to recharge my 18650 vape and flashlight batteries.

My trusty ~10yr old Nitecore i2 wouldn't fully charge two recently purchased Orbitronic 3400mAh 18650's. It got within one bar and stayed there. I trouble shot as best as I could but finally decided to upgrade to the UMS2 given the age of the I2. Charger performance/electronics can degrade over time. Maybe heat finally took it's toll. After switching to the UMS2, it got the job done. It has faster USB C charging, a screen, battery health monitoring and If the advertising is correct, it can also restore over-discharged batteries. More advanced safety features as well. My only disappointment with the UMS2 is that unlike the i2, it does not have an integral power supply. Presumably, the i2 was a clean sheet design with all components designed to work well together. Just plug it into a wall socket or surge protector and you're done, no worries. The USM2 will need a good quality, safe and well designed wall wart to work optimally and safely. Given that this is a battery charger and batteries are potentially explosive, choose wisely. I'd suggest an Apple wall wart or another brand known for competent design, quality control and safety. See the attached screenshot. It was pulled from Nitecore's online manual. Specs for choosing an external power supply. Definitely read the manual. There's other functionality/features I didn't cover above. I'd suggest downloading it from Nitecore's website so you can adjust font size. The included manual has absurdly small print. Happy customer, great price, great product.

Great quality product, I've tested with several types of rechargeable batteries and all work well. It's nice having a voltage, current, and charge time display, and the charge rate is correctly set and lowered when nearly full to prevent overheating.

One of the few chargers that will fit the longer protected 21700 batteries. Does the job well! The one I received is usb-c powered, not micro-usb like the description said.

I took this as my primary charger for a two week long road trip. I used a short micro USB cable to charge a few items (flashlight, headlamp, and this battery charger), and it worked fine with everything except this charger. This charger just wouldn't power on with that cable. The charger still "works", just not with every micro USB cable. Pros: 1. Adjustable contacts allow you to charge many different battery sizes Cons: 1. Overly complicated menu layout 2. Poor instructions 3. Charging contacts do not self align causing the batteries to slip out 4. Limited to charging two batteries at a time 5. Outdated micro USB interface - should be USB C 6. Won't power on with just any micro USB cable 7. Never quick charged anything, even with a 65w capable power brick. 8. I'm outside of the return window now
