For completists only. Some nice photos. A few words with typos. And zero real content.
I've liked this series from Titan Books. They usually contain great photos, including behind the scenes shots, and the price is very reasonable for a hardback book (the pages are super-thin so the "book" looks more like a comic with a hardback's covers than a real book). However the secrecy around Marvel Movies make them very hard to produce when they're timed to release around the same time as the movie and you have a company like Disney not wanting ANYTHING to get out ahead of time. With previous Marvel titles that hasn't mattered so much because they've been able to pull in information from other sources to actually provide interesting additional information. For example, in the predecessor movie "Infinity War" they did a really nice explanation of what the different stones were, who'd owned them and their "history" in each Marvel movie ready for their appearance in this one. That book was a four and a four and a half stars for me and is actually a great read before going in to see the movie for which this book has been produced. This is a companion volume to the second in the two-part series and it does less well. The writers seemingly have had to manufacture content from thin air. For a character like The Hulk where even the new images can give too much away they have pretty much nothing. So they're reduced to showing pictures of Hulk from previous movies rather than this one. There's far less "behind the scenes" than in other titles in the series. The pictures are mostly those from the trailers released before the movie (which cover only the first 15 minutes of the movie). The interviews with cast members, which traditionally have formed the core of these series, are embarrasingly awful because the actors can't talk about anything in a movie that hadn't been released at the time they gave their "interivew". So you end up with interviews which in the worst cases (Chris Hemsworth) sound like two sentences overheard at the press junket interviews - and that's it! Lots of pictures to pad things out, but not a lot else. Page by page of each actor trying to suck up to the studio head Kevin Feige and say as little as possible for fear of getting into trouble for being the source of a leak (despite the title not becoming available to read until the movie has been released). To add to the disappointment there are typos everywhere. Answers with repeated sentences: Questions with missing letters. Did anybody proof-read this thing? It comes across as a real rush job, and one which does a disservice to the other titles in the series. One can blame "studio secrecy" for some of that but not for the crinkly top pages (I know the paper is thin but when you purchase new it shouldn't arrive looking like maybe it had water damage to it) and the very poor proof-reading.

Good refresher for watching the film
Don’t buy this book to see any plot or spoiler material from the film. There is nothing in it of that nature. You should buy it to read what the film artists have to say about the development of the film, and also what the actors have to say. I bought this book and the INFINITY WAR one at the same time. They are similarly written (no major spoilers).

Livre passionnant
