I needed to buy an adapter so I could extend the device down a couple of inches. I have it in place of the floodlight bulb I removed. Once I was able to get it to work, it did the job. I now have a super bright non-intrusive light in my bedroom ensuite.

Bought after viewing the commercial about some Bell & Howell product. Wanted to get more light in my garage. The back of the garage is dark due to the braintrust who designed the house. I put three 100 watt LED bulbs and wow, it illuminated the garage beyond my expectations. Definitely an inexpensive way to increase lighting without getting an electrician or buying some “as seen on tv” gadgets.

I'm currently using this socket extension on a lamp in my dimly lit living room corner. I threw three 100w bulbs into this bad boy and it has brightened the living room immensely. One could say it's like a little sun in the corner, especially with how warm three bulbs combine to be. Now, the lamp is a 3-way lamp, the ones that can change to three different brightness intensities per turn of the dial for the lamp, but that no longer works. This product doesn't claim to work in such cases, so no negative impact on the rating, but I thought I'd put that in there in case that info is helpful for someone. As you should see via my rating, I like this little lamp hack and think you should use it if you need a little sun of bulbs in some place in your home.
