I purchased this fire alarm in 2023, and it has been a fantastic product from day one. It came with a one-year battery guarantee, and it worked flawlessly all the way up until yesterday, when I believe the battery finally died. During the time I had it, I never experienced a single issue-the performance was excellent and incredibly reliable. The only real downside is the battery itself. It seems to be irreplaceable, which is a shame because the alarm is otherwise a quality product. If the manufacturer could move toward a greener, more sustainable design that allows for battery replacement, it would make this product both longer-lasting and more environmentally friendly. I picked up the FireAngel SB1-R smoke alarms after getting tired of my old detectors constantly startling me every time I made toast. It’s nice knowing I won't have to deal with that annoying chirping sound when the battery dies. Instead, I can just swap it out whenever I need to, which is a plus in my book. It also gives me peace of mind knowing I can silence it easily if there’s a false alarm. Plus, I haven’t had a single nuisance alert from the kitchen since I installed them. This little smoke alarm packs a punch! I was immediately impressed by its compact size and how discreetly it fits into my home. The installation was a breeze, and I opted for adhesive velcro strips instead of drilling holes. One of the first things I noticed was the powerful alarm. Trust me, it's loud enough to wake even the deepest sleeper! While the battery life isn't quite a year as advertised (I've had to replace them after about 4 months), it's a small price to pay for peace of mind. Interestingly, the alarm has gone off a couple of times due to hairspray and once seemingly at random. Although these weren't fire-related incidents, it's reassuring to know that the alarm is sensitive and responsive. Overall, the FireAngel SB1-R is an affordable and reliable smoke alarm that's easy to install and blends seamlessly into any home.

My smoke alarm recently failed so i purchased this one. Good make and at a great price. Now installed and working fine.

Easy to set up, smaller than most fire alarms however brackets fit into existing holes easily. They seem loud when tested so keeps the house safe.

What's not to like? It's a smoke alarm. Good design, does it job.... I hope!

These are top rated for sensitivity to all types of fires by Which magazine, beating the competition, mainly Aico, even though Aico are several times the cost. The downside with FireAngel is false alarms which are widely reported. Industry people prefers Aico as they dont want hassle. My plan is to buy several extra FireAngels, and immediately bin and replace any that give a false alarm, no second chances, and by Darwinism achieve a reliable system. The included battery is useless, bin and replace with Duracell 9V MN1604.

Great little battery operated smoke alarm. Looks quite discrete when mounted (I used command strips, but screws and rawplugs are provided). Based on an optical sensor not the older radiation source/alpha particle ones, but, weirdly, still have an expiration date....not sure an LED or optocoupler has a half life but what do I know!? Is this a ploy just to keep you buying new ones in the future!? Anyway, runs on two AA batteries (supplied) which is great, apparently last around 5 years but I can't validate that, they are easy to change in any case. My only real criticism is that the alarm is not very loud, but I think that's fundamentally because it's running off of 3V, not a 9V battery. For the price it's a simple fire risk mitigation to help keep your family safe, recommended!

Le modèle à batterie scellé se met en défaut bien avant la date de péremption. Au moins avec celui à piles on peut les changer.

Alarme pas assez bruyante si vous avez une grande maison pour un appartement de petite taille il suffira
