KBS Coatings 60303 Aluminum Motor Coater Engine Paint - 1 Pint

Nice product covers in one coat and seems to be tough.

I bought this small can, and as advertised it was enough to repaint the entire engine. Cleaned engine w acetone. Primed w Rustolium “rusty-metal primer” from HD on everything but the heads. Used KMS hi-temp (gray) primer on the heads and exhaust manifolds. Will paint the heads w the blue and hope they do not discolor due to exhaust ports are part of exhaust system on my ‘62 Pontiac Grand Prix # matching 389 4bbl. Will leave exhaust manifolds the primer gray color. No paint. Won’t know how it lasts until the car is back on the road for a year. So far, great product. Cleans up w acetone, or lacquer thinner. Key: stir often! Also, if applied too thick it will run and drip.

Bright, deep color, high gloss and dries quickly. So easy to apply... Excellent.

Awesome stuff! The value and quality for the price is awesome. I brushed it on and it came out like it was sprayed on. It finished perfectly once it dried.

Brushed it on my Ford Flathead.

I used this for painting an old bedroom hot water radiator. It covered very well with one coat. The finish is glossy smooth and was the gold color I was hoping for. It had a strong odor which dissipated after a week or so but I had anticipated this so it was not a surprise. It dried as expected and appears to be durable. This worked very well for my project.

I have tried other so called high temp paints from the local parts store only to be disappointed once the engine gets up to temperature and the paint either peels off or burns. KBS Motor Coater goes on easy, self levels and has great coverage spray or brush on. Only engine paint I will use from now on.
