I chose it because it has bakuchiol in it, and it seemed a better choice for my sensitive skin. I have rosacea and wanted to try retinol for its anti-inflammatory effects but my skin doesn't tolerate retinol well. Plus, I'm sensitive to most sunscreens and I'm not motivated to use the mineral kind.I applied this one time in the morning and I'm pretty sure it gave me freckles, and I don't usually get freckles. This is a nighttime-only thing unless that's what you're after. However, the rest of the time I've put it on at night. It hasn't done anything much for the redness either way over the last couple of weeks, but the bumps that go with the rosacea have receded and my skin feels smooth now.This seems to be a quality creamy serum that is gentle on my sensitive skin for a reasonable price.
