Old Fulham

I was born in Adeney Road, Fulham. In the mid 1960s we had to move for the Council's redevelopment programme and life was never quite the same after that. This book is just a tear inducing read. I now luve in Dorset but whenever the opportunity arises I always drive down Dawes Road and into Lillie Road, going passed 'my' tree which still stands at the top of what was my road. If you were born in Fulham-that-was then this book is for you.

My husbands family are all from Fulham and this book was recommended by my Mother in Law, so I bought it for my husband, it was lovely listening to my husband and his mum reminisce about times gone by. They also recognised some people in the book, which made it extra special, I don't have any reference to Fulham, but I loved looking through the book too. Highly recommended for people who come from Fulham.

Bought for my mother who grew up in Fulham in the 1940's. Plenty of interesting photos with informative captions. Looks overly expensive for what it is, but well worth the money when in your hand!

A really lovely journey down memory lane, in every photo, on every page! I was married at Fulham town hall, Walham Green, and the photos shown of a wedding party, could have been mine. Even the guests clothing was much the same style. The only disappointment for me was, very very few photos of Fulham Cross where I was born and lived until I was married in 1959. Old Fulham is worth every penny.

This was actually a present for a family member who knows Fulham like the back of her hand but misses the old days...She seemed very pleased and happy with the book and spent an initial 4 hours looking through the pictures talking about all the old places she remembered and missed but be careful as the book could actually make some people upset if they don't like how Fulham is now...Great book and beautiful photos...

An excellent book of good quality photographs of Fulham - my birthplace and where I lived for my first 27 years.
