Can be used with the head on the block. No need to remove the rocker arm shafts. Steel bolts, washers, and retainer cap. Our valve spring compressor was specifically designed for VTEC heads and thus will fit flawlessly without any modifications. Will not slip and scratch or damage your head like universal clamp type valve spring compressors. Simply align the holes on the aluminum body of the valve spring compressor with the ones on the head, bolt it using the provided short bolts, place the valve spring, retainer and retainer cap on the retainers, bolt down the long bolt, place the keepers using the magnetized screwdriver

I’d only recommend this product for use in a bind but please note that the cup that goes on top of the spring to compress is a soft aluminum. This will start to get chewed up by the screw and start drop small aluminum chips in your head! Which is okay if you have the heads off and can give it a good wash. Also the bolts to attach it to the head only catch 3-4 threads, I’d recommend some longer ones. Use cation and take note, the product is not perfect and not for professional use.

Bolts included are not long enough. Only catch 2-3 threads. The spring cup itself I’d soft aluminum and won’t hold up to being used for a full set of valves. Disappointed. 👎🏼 Would not recommend.
