Due to all the raving reviews and my family’s obsession with tacos, I bought the game to play with my extended family for Christmas. For the first round, my competitive family felt the rules were not well-written and left too many things up to interpretation. These “loopholes” in the rules regarding action cards, for example, made for a pretty argumentative couple of rounds until we fully understood the game and created some of our own house rules. After that, the game was a bit more enjoyable but, unfortunately, I don’t see it being one we pick to pull out when we see each other during get-togethers. Also.. the game has absolutely nothing to do with Tacos “VERSING” Burritos as the title and game cover would lead you to believe… no symbolism, significance, secret point values…they’re simply just card holders and you just pick which one tickles your fancy which felt a little lame.

Title says it all. My family had a ball! We purchased a second Taco vs Burrito to hopefully create an opportunity for more players. 2 - 4 players if fun so we imagine more players would bring more amusement and laughter.

The action cards keep things unpredictable, and we were laughing the whole time. Kids love the theme, but honestly the adults had just as much fun. The quality of the cards is great, the artwork is cute and funny, and the compact size makes it perfect for travel or parties. We’ve already played it multiple times and it hasn’t gotten old at all. It’s also impressive that the original idea came from a young creator — you can tell it was made with a lot of creativity. If you’re looking for a light, fast, and entertaining game that works for both kids and adults, this is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!
