Nesco BJX-5 American Harvest Jumbo Jerky Works Kit Jerky Gun & Seasoning

Made 55 pounds of ground beef beef jerky and it still works. Bought one from Walmart looked like it was the exact same thing but the one from Walmart tore up and about 15 pounds of ground beef.

I have now bought two of these. The first on had some issues, but it did work. The biggest problem was the cheap plastic. When making jerky, it had a bad tendency to pop the top off instead of pushing the jerky meat out. After a couple years, the plastic finally cracked. After much thought, decided to buy another one. After all it was cheap and it worked, even if it was a bit of a pain. The second one does not work at all. As other people have stated, pulling the trigger does nothing. Spent far too long trying to get the trigger to mesh up with the plunger, but it's impossible. I regret not spending a little more on a better product.

MY HUSBAND IS AN AVID HUNTER. WE NEEDED A WAY TO PROCESS OUR VENISON AT HOME WITHOUT MUCH HASSLE. AFTER GRINDING THE MEAT, ADD THE SEASONING INCLUDED AND MIX WELL. PUT THE MEAT INTO THE TUBE AND SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER ONTO THE DEHYDRATOR TRAYS. IT'S FAST AND EASY. CONVENIENT AND TIME SAVING.

there is supposed to have 5 jerky seasonings packets and there were only 2.

Overall it is pretty easy to use. I have severe wrist problems though, and taking it apart to clean is quite difficult. I have someone else unscrew it for me

I really like my jerky seasonings and jerky kit..It's very easy to use and to disassemble to clean..
