(waiting on pads to arrive) The pads on these are basically non-existent because they are super thin. For closed headphones the soundstage is amazing and they are crisp and clear. They can get very loud and definitely benefit from a little amplification on the low end. The bass is there and is nice and clean but just a little on the lighter side for my taste. If the price is still around the $31 that I paid I would not hesitate recommending these. Heck if they are under $75 Id recommend them along with a good set of pads **Q: Is the item durable?** A: I can't give a definite answer to this, but just from initial inspection and a few hours of on-head use I can say they are a bit on the fragile feeling side but also seem well made. They are made mostly from plastic all around and the headband seems to be a thin metal strip and some sort of foam covered with a thin layer of "pleather" on the outside. That's really the only part of the construction that concerns me. There doesn't seem to be any creaking to speak of. The cable, which is permanently attached, is a bit on the thin side but so far seems decent enough. The plug on the cable isn't the best I've seen but works just fine. The only real downside I have found with the build of these headphones so far is that the earpads are WAY too thin. They are nice and soft but there is very little padding. They're so thin that the speaker grills sit right against my ears. I would recommend buying a set of the Brainwavz memory foam earpads, or something similar, along with this headphone. Now with all that said...if these are still at the $31 price that I paid for them....buy them right now. These sound amazing! They are a little light on the bass side but it is very clean and clear. The soundstage is also great for a set of closed-back headphones. I have a set of Philips SHP9500S's and the soundstage and clarity of these is very similar but with a bit less emphasis on the low end. I havent tried them with any kind of headphone amp yet, but I believe that with a little extra power injected into them they will come alive a bit more in the bass area. I put them through about a 48-50 hour "burn-in" and they smoothed out a little from when I first got them. The treble was a tad bit piercing to start out. **Q: I am looking for magnet free headphones. Do these headphones have magnets in them?** A: Yes. They have a "4030 estat" and a 40mm dynamic driver. Both use magnets. I think all headphones have magnets though **Q: they have builted mic?** A: Hi. They do not have a built in microphone. They are not good headphones.
