It’s hard to know if the flashing light (optional) adds to their effectiveness as it works best at night when I can’t see the cats’ reaction, but if the lack of fouling and bird predation is anything to go by, these work very well. I certainly notice a difference when the batteries run low, although the current batteries have been working for about 3 months, even when having to deal with very frequent visits by both foxes and cats. Heavy bouts of rain do not appear to have seeped into the works and that seems to be an improvement from the previous version. The new instructions also give a better idea of how to adjust the frequencies etc. A fairly expensive but effective deterrent. Cats now foul in a different spot. *by M***R on 1 October 2025* I found these worked very well. Cats had taken a liking to my front garden and the repellers had an immediate effect, with no fouling in this area. About 2 weeks after installation the neighbours fouling machine has started in the back garden instead, so I'll order a pack of 4 for the back garden as well. Batteries seem to last well despite constant traffic and activation by household members and visitors, the cheap batteries have lasted so far.
