MerrellMen's Annex Trak Low Hiking Shoe

This is my third pair of these shoes over some 15 years! They are extremely comfortable and hard waring plus I’m my opinion stylish enough for modern day styles.

I take an 11 and these fit true to size. Snug, but comfortable out of the box. Look really good and obviously quality. Let's see how they hold up over time, but pleased so far.**UPDATE**Rating changed to reflect shocking lack of durability. The soles (not sure if a Vibram or Merrell issue) are seriously weak and on BOTH shoes have started to peel away - on the right shoe, a chunk of rubber (about the size of a 10p piece) has just flaked away, leaving a hole, and on the left shoe, there's a huge strip that's threatening to peel away which I've had to superglue twice. It won't hold for very long though.Seriously terrible manufacturing here. Avoid avoid avoid. For a £65 pair of shoes I'm not happy.

This shoe is excellent. I wanted something more robust than a trainer and not large and heavy like a hiking boot. It is an ideal compromise. It can be used for country walks but also would look fine for taking on a city break. The shoes are very comfortable. The instep gives good support and they fit my medium foot well. If you have very narrow feet they may not be suitable. The colour in the photograph is deceptive. The blue, in reality, is a very dark blue - almost a blue/black, which goes well with the back of the rest of the shoe. The price is excellent for a Merrell product. Highly recommended.

Good shoe, grippy soles, and waterproof. They’re a bit wide fitting for my tastes and therefore feel a bit clunky.

first walk was 6miles and no discomfort anywhere. pleased with how they lookUpdated after use: less than a year later and with only a moderate amount of wear, the sole separated from the upper on both shoes. Binned them and am very disappointed as its a premium brand.

Really I regret not sending these back, I wore them for a few months and threw them away. One of the shoes was poorly made and it looked like the front was not glued on properly. They were comfortable, but not great for outdoors as they let in water.Expected better quality for the price.

Extremely comfortable for walking in dry weather but timed to split seams after some six months of wearing! Third pair though so comfort overides toughness for me!

Materials has split in less than a year. Poor quality. Disappointed.

Colour was much darker than the picture. I much prefer to purchase shoes in person as they can be tested out and walked around in without the hassle of having to potentially go back and return them. Overall they were fine, but nothing special. Lasted an average amount of time. I tend to wear shoes until they fall apart. The rubber around the edge of the sole dried out a little faster than my liking. Sole wear was mediocre. At least they were actual leather! Overall nothing special and a bit pricy.

Très bonne chaussures, avec de bon appuis sur la semelle. Je recommande et en plus elle sont jolies.

Although stylish and comfortable these shoes just didn't hold up. These shoes fell apart after about 6 months of mild use. After contacting Amazon for a refund or replacement I was told I could " buy them again" I would not recommend these shoes unless you like to waste your money.

Sadly I cannot recommend these shoes any longer. I love the model, the fit and the colour, and I wore the previous pair almost daily for a couple of years. As other reviewers have remarked, Merrell seems to have changed to an inferior material. My shoes split at the sides after three months use.

Nice shoes! Super comfortable as all Merrel's that I've had are. Only thing is, they're hot in the summer, not breathable but, I don't care as I use them casually.
