It was out of the bag in the box, so I thought someone may have returned it. The plug was too large to fit into my fountain so I processed a return, but I decided to file down the plug and got it installed. Has good water flow. My previous pump was a Little Giant and lasted over 30 years, but this model is no longer made. The first was made in the US, this China. For now it is great. I don't have another 30 years, but let's see how long it lasts.
