Great quality product
Excellent product, high shine capabilities, better than any previous shoe polish I've used to get that mirror effect shine, combined with a selvyt cloth, and some good bulling techniques your not going to be disappointed with this product from saphir

OUT SHINES THE COMPETITION
50ml tin of Saphir (World's leading) French shoe/boot polish; black.Unlike another well known shoe polish manufacturer, who uses a thin, small propelling 'wing nut' affair, to open their tins (often breaking off), Saphir simply (& effectively) screw open or close. As expected, a top quality, easy to apply polish, drying dull, buffing to a brilliant shine. The more layers, the greater and greater, lasting shine. Each time after the initial polish, becomes easier and easier to maintain the shine. These will pass muster on any soldier's boots.Only 4 out of 5 stars for value, because it is priced too dear for most budgets in comparison with the competition. However, in terms of performance/results, it's a winner. The closet rival that I have used, is a Parade Gloss but the Saphir is easier to apply and quicker at getting hoped for results. The polish smell is not as strong as some rivals, probably because of the higher quality ingredients used.See the photographs; one pair of boots is a work in progress & works on jackets, etc. too.Definitely a polished performer!

The Devil is in the Detail
Excellent product but like with most finishes it's following the correct procedure, application and using good cloths to get the desired results. To get mirror shine build thin layers, using your fingers to spread the wax. I found the wax to be fairly hard but it soons softens up with friction/heat from your fingers. The more layers you build the more time you will need to spend buffing to get a gloss shine. The more layers the more you fill in the natural leater grain to get that mirror finish.I used a dab of ice cold water and a 100% cotton 2 Ply rag/chamois, lint free to buff. To ensure no water spots I occasionally just tapped the Shapir using mild pressure until I could hear and feel the wax was buffing off and the shine started to appear. When using a cloth make sure it leaves no fibres and it is tightly bound around your fingers with no creases otherwise you risk adding micro scratches which will ruin the mirror shine. After the build layer, I used a 25% IPA to water solution at room temp and occasionally breath to then enhance the shine. This is not building layers but to enhance the Gloss.

Saphir, the best polish
Saphir is the best polish anyway but combine it with the Admiral Gloss and your mirror shine never fails. Alittle goes a long way too.

Easier than other brands.
I have been mirror shining shoes for 23 years. I've always used kiwi black and a cotton shirt as that's how I was taught. Using this has made a massive difference. Its so much quicker although does give a slightly greyer base to the colour may need a touch of brown to deepen the colour
