Plenty of songs to start out on and move to others once you’ve advanced through. Just ordered another from this brand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for gigs *by A***. on January 5, 2025* I'm a professional cellist, and I use this book for solo cello gigs, mostly for filler sight-reading background music. People like hearing the familiar tunes on the cello, and they're pretty easy. As a cello teacher, I find these books not as useful as I'd like- they definitely take the same music and use it for 10 different instruments, and just transpose it and make sure it's not outside the range of 1st to maybe 5th position (99% is in 1st though). The rhythms are hard for beginners and the songs are always in keys that require extensions or shifting. They're good for early intermediate cellists, but I have to put in a lot of bowings and fingerings, as they don't bother with that while editing. Late intermediate and beyond, they aren't that interesting or fun to play.
