Besgrow Bulk Orchiata Orchid Bark - Classic Grade (35 Liters)

I love the way these bark pieces feel. I use them to blend my own custom potting mixes at my plant store. This brand and quality of bark is perfect for my needs. I highly recommend.

It’s a great orchid bark and like the fact it doesn’t need soaked prior to repotting. Less dust than other brands of medium I have tried. Seems to hold up longer than other types of bark. I’m not seeing breakdown of the bark compared to other types. I have both classic and the 9-12 ml size bark. I do like the 9-12 ml bark for most of my orchids. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it is very expensive. If you want the best I guess you have to make that sacrifice and spend more for a great product.

Fast shipping and decent price.

The bark pieces maybe 6- 9 millimeters as promised, but they are flat, not chunky as orchiata usually is. Each of them is easily breakable.I doubt that could last long last long. Looks to me like some colored bark of unknown origin, not what I hoped for.

I cannot believe somebody poured a lot lot of non-biodegradeable styrofoam peanuts into a nicely tight fitting box with the bag of bark!!! SERIOUSLY?????

I've been using Orchiata for the bark parts of my orchid medium for several years now as it is more stable than other types of bark. I find buying in bulk avoids lots of smaller orders. While it might seem like a lot, it goes quickly enough.

good stuff, great amount for price

The price was very good if one can tolerate the rather slow delivery time. Packing was a bit beat-up but bag was ok. I will keep you in mind when I order more (for my orchids). Reggie Dufour
