Sturdy-Highly Adjustable-Compact Storage-!Heavy!
NO MIDDLE BAR and METAL FRAMEI'm 6'3" and I couldn't comfortably use the Wheel Stand Pro (a fine product itself, just not for me). The lack of this bar requires that Omega uses a frame. Their metal frame gives it a larger footprint than the WSP and it is considerably heavier. But, the lack of that middle bar makes the Omega an easy product to recommend if you are having issues with the former's kind of construction.COMPACT STORAGE but NOT EASY TO MOVE:It is easy to fold up and get ready to move. The swing-arm design of the footboard EASILY slides forward allowing the frame to collapse down with a gentle push. The frame can fold to a fully vertical position with the attachments still on it--but you would need to secure it to stop it from tipping. Giving it a little triangle base allows it to stay quite compact if you are just sliding it out of the way in your gaming area. The picture I included shows it folded up with my gaming chair for scale. My desk's sitting area is in a corner of a small apartment room and it has about 22 sq. ft. for my chair, this wheel stand, and a small bookcase. They all fit easily with room to slide around and use the space--even with the stand deployed! However, as compact, as it can be, the heavy metal frame makes it quite unwieldy to tote around. It is not likely something you will want to drag out for a short 20-minute game session and then put back up on a regular basis. For example, if you are using this at your PC where you work/play other games--moving this in and out each evening might become a chore. Once it is set, you're probably going to want to use it for a while and vice-versa once stored. There's nothing wrong with moving it as needed, but it is going to be an investment of time and exertion to get it set up.STURDY AND SECURE:Despite the ability to collapse for storage, this is a strong frame and remains sturdy when deployed for play. The foot pedals are locked into place and will accept heavy input without sliding on the floorboard. The wheel does not tilt once it is locked down. There are rubber feet that keep the frame from moving and your floor protected. These feet are height-adjustable allowing you to compensate for any unevenness in your floor.ADJUSTABLE? (YES and NO):Wheel height is highly adjustable and easy to move through tension knobs.Pedal length is highly adjustable for any driver's size. However, to achieve security for play the pedal base is bolted to the frame using 2 or 4 screws (G27). Once the pedals are installed, if you wanted to adjust them, you would be required to get on the floor, swing the floorboard forward, reach underneath and loosen/retighten the screws between each adjustment. If you are playing in a small space and/or sharing this rig with a spouse of a different height or between kids of varying ages, this could become very tiresome. The gear shift can be mounted on the left or right side of the frame. However, the height is set by the length of its attachment bar which is not adjustable. And, the shifter drops down pretty low. This feels fantastic and quite natural for driving, but if you are using an office chair with high armbars that are not adjustable, you may have to let your arm hang free off the side while shifting--that could be wearying after a while.SIMPLE INSTALLATION:Pretty easy task. The instructions are basic in the now typical IKEAesque picture formats. There was no mention of which screw to use to mount specific accessories but it wasn't hard to figure that out. CHECK FOR YOUR PARTS before assembling. My box was missing a nut and a couple of screws had fallen out of the plastic bags they were in and became stuck on the tape of the frame's packaging. If I hadn't counted, those could have easily ended up in the trash. Given that there are seemingly extra pieces depending on which wheel you are installing, it didn't cause an issue.Due to the inability to easily adjust the pedals after installation, if you are putting this in a small space or under a desk, make sure you adjust the pedal length during installation before locking them down and moving it to your gaming area (lesson learned the hard way) :)VALUE:This wheel stand is fantastic and worth the money. It is INFINITELY more fun to drive both in American Truck Simulator as well as F1 2020 without a middle bar to contend with. Short of having a racing seat, I think this is probably your best bet. Take some measurements of your gaming space and plan ahead for storage, this is a larger gaming accessory and it is heavy.I wouldn't pick this up if I was a casual driver who is only going to spend 20-30 minutes at a time in front of their gaming system or regular work PC. I think there are easier options for you. But, if you are looking to try and immerse more into driving games and you are going to invest some time into them, I'd highly suggest this product. It is comfortable to use, it feels natural when you drive.5/5 stars -- I'd love easier pedal adjustments and the inability to adjust the gear shift height is a little annoying. But for me, as this is set up only for myself and I don't have to deal with that again, I'm not taking a star off for it. :)

Rock Solid for Moza R5 DD wheel
I have been thoroughly impressed with this stand. I first ordered a Next Level Racing "Wheel Stand Racer", which was a mistake because I didn't realize (and its description doesn't mention) that it's not suitable for a direct drive wheel. I researched more and found the GT Omega Apex, and read that it's compatible with my Moza R5 DD wheel, and that it even had holes specifically for mounting it. The build quality and performance have been fantastic. It DOES NOT MOVE under high FFB.My only complaint is that the instructions are not good at all. It only has pictures with objects highlighted and arrows pointing at things. No words to describe what to do. You will be puzzled as to why you've finished and yet there's still a big pile of nuts, bolts, washers, etc still left (I guess they are for mounting various brands of wheels and pedals).I didn't need the shifter plate, or the chair lock, so for me the build went fairly quick - the hardest part was figuring out how to mount my Moza pedals. Again, the instructions were no help. The biggest drawback of this unit is weight. It's nearly 100% metal, and it's quite heavy. Considering getting furniture slider feet. It's hard to move around, even on hardwood floors.

Solid as a rock / SUPER happy with this purchase
What is not to like about this?!?!? This stand is incredible. Once you assemble the adjustable steering wheel mounting plate/bracket (3 bolts/5 min) and the shifter mounting plate/bracket (4 bolts/5 min) its ready to mount gear to and it is a very solid and sturdy stand, I had no problem feeling good about mounting my brand new gear to it. I am actually wondering how I can mount a 32 inch monitor/mount on it now, it would hold it no problem, I just can't find a mount yet and there are some perfect holes on the stand for it or maybe a clamp mount. It also folds up for storage but keep in mind once your gear is attached it weighs a good bit, I would say 60+ pounds. I would not want my 5'2" wife to try and move it folded up or open, it might hurt her. Also, when you fold it up, be cautioned that the pedal shelf and pedals will fall forward through the frame and smack pretty hard if you don't hold it until you lock it with the screw locks, just a minor design miss. Scared the heck out of me and messed my beautiful wiring job up, did not break my brand new pedals tho. This comes with a ton of extra hardware so if you need extra mounting screws this will probably have it and in many different lengths, but all the same size so I am guessing these are a standard fit for racing sim gear. It had other extra parts for the frame as well, I guess if things get broken, I don't know how you could break the frame short of running over it with a truck. I had no problem finding bolts to mount my Logitech G29 to it, which was steering wheel (2 bolts), pedals (4 bolts) and shifter (2 bolts). It is easily adjusted for different heights. I wish there was an easy way to slide adjust the pedals so my wife can reach without me feeling cramped or needing to adjust it with the wrenches on the bottom of the pedal shelf. It's not terrible and since you can easily slide the wheel up or down it does help with that. This cost more than many of the others that I looked at on Amazon and other places but all the ones that were cheaper looked like they wobbled real bad when I watched youtube videos. This stand does not move, ok, maybe a very small amount when I am getting crazy with the shifter, but it does not wobble at all and any movement is pretty much limited to the shifter mount. It feels solid like I am sitting in a car, I love it. No chance it will fall over unless you shove it real hard, one of my main concerns. You can't just accidentally bump it and it fall over, not top heavy at all.Add-ons... If you go to the GT Omega website there are also a couple of different racing seats with mounting brackets that attach to this, how cool is that!?! There are also a few other accessories for it. I would also suggest getting some loom wiring tubing for it, makes it look so clean and it's the same stuff they use on cars so it fits the car look. I got it at Amazon, I used 1/4 inch and ran all the wires separately, you might want half inch if you want to run more than 3 wires per tube. Locking caster wheels might be a good add on as well if you just want to roll it out of the way when not in use, Amazon offers those also.Only cons...1. The weight, but it's to be expected for this quality, adding locking caster wheels could help a lot which I may do next. I am a big guy so it's not hard for me to manhandle it.2. If you hit your knee on it, it sure does hurt. OUCH!!! There's that darn quality again :).Summary... this thing was worth every penny and I am glad I did not buy one that was rickety rackety. It feels very sturdy and safe. And it's comfortable at a good price. Amazon shipped it fast and free. Love this purchase, would recommend and possibly buy again if someone stole mine cause it's not going to break anytime soon, even if I stand up on it.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Thank you GT Omega and Amazon

Stable with 8nm DD
Currently using a fanatec CSL dd with the boost kit and it feels stable. The only gripe I have is the instructions for installing the pedals are lacking and could use specific instructions per popular pedal set.
