I didn't want to risk the airline classifying my "purse" as an additional piece of luggage so I didn't want it to be huge but yet big enough to carry things that I couldn't fit in my carry-on. Lastly, for security purposes (in a major city) I needed to be able to use it as a cross body. Being to use it as a backpack is a bonus for me. I bought the mesh one and it fit the bill perfectly. The price is great & it looks good. In Spain, I opened this bag & the internal zipper (that had my important documents/credit cards & cash) a ton of times and the zippers held up just fine and look like they will continue to hold up for future trips. It also has an external zipper on the side that would touch your back, if used as a back pack. I didn't use it, because I mostly used it as a cross body but for security, that design is smart.The only negative thing is that the handles should be a little wider and longer to fit the carry-on handle. Also, when the handles are "buckled", it is a pain to open the main zipper BUT this was great for added security when walking around a major city, so not really a negative. I simply left them unbuckled when I didn't want to bother with it. I would definitely buy again and the price is wonderful. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unexpectedly small. Backpack NOT hard to use ANYMORE.. (update) *by A***. on March 14, 2019* I bought this purse mainly for a travel to Japan. I chose this product because it's like a 3 in 1 purse. I got the PU leather and as the descriptions say, it can be a crossbody bag, backpack and handbag. I wanted to use this as a backpack. Unfortunately, the way the strap sits on the top isn't secure unless you put a clip on it so it will not be moving. Another issue is when using it as a handbag, hand straps are quite short. Despite these issues, I'm keeping it anyway because of it's exterior quality and it's multifunctional.UPDATE: Thanks to my social media account I found the best way to tie the backpack strap!
