As good as the real thing at a fraction of the cost
Thought I was taking a chance buying a replica instead of a Microchip part - to my great pleasure this worked first time (and every subsequent time!) in mplab, and I’m over the moon. I don’t know whether this endorsement applies to all copies (you’d imagine they all come from the same place) but this one is fantastic. It’s visually the same as the genuine article, though the case is matt rather than gloss (no bad thing). Also came with pin header and a nice fat USB cable. 1/4 the price of the Microchip programmer, enough said.

Did not Perform
No mater which chip I tried to programme, it was not recognised by the Pickit3. To be fair, it might only be mine that was faulty. However it is being returned for a refund.
