Corn Snakes (Reptile and Amphibian Keeper's Guides) Paperback – October 1, 2011

Since I plan on adding a corn snake to my collection I decided to get a few books that I can read up on the snake and go back to when needed. This book gives the basic information that is need to own a corn snake.

For a book with only 46 pages this book tells a lot and has good pictures but there are better books out there.The best book is the book Corn Snakes,the comprehensive owners guide by Kathy and Bill Love which is a whopping 227 pages and I think one of the best books ever written on just one species of snake.However if you just want to know the basics this little book will keep your snake healthy.

I bought this and Don Soderberg's 'Corn Snakes in Captivity' at the same time; both have been invaluable. Though I spent several months researching Corns before I purchased one (from Don himself, in fact), these books have made for great refreshers or simply answered questions about details I'd forgotten or even managed to overlook. I keep both by my snake's vivarium, and haven't yet been lead astray. I find that, when caring for a live animal, having more than one source for answers and general wisdom is a good practise.

as corn snakes are already easy to care for, this book covered everything you need. Most ov the corn snake care books i own come back to this one, as if all the books based their knowledge on this book. If you have a corn snake, or are considering getting a corn snake, and would like a book on 'em, this one aint bad for the price at ALL.

Got this to go with a corn snake coming as a gift. Helped him a lot to get to know his new friend.

I read this book, it was neat because it told about the different colors of corn snakes but it focused on wild ones and adults. I am new to the snake world and need a book about the care of all ages and captive snakes. The book was informative if I was to catch a wild one and tried to domesticate it. I did enjoy seeing the different coloration and where the came from though.

My son who is big herp lover, was very happy with this book. A good starter book for any first time snake kid.

I've always been interested in owning a snake but was unsure on what type to get as a first, since I known a little but not a lot about snakes. This book is short and to the point, and explains simply everything you need to know about the corn snake. After reading, I confidently bought my first baby corn snake, a lovely little ultramel morph named Alice, and have found snakes make interesting and lovely pets. You're automatically cool when you own a snake, trust me.Buying her, and ultimately buying this book, has encouraged me to plan on breeding corn snakes in the future! Thank you for this new passion of mine!

I bought this book after been given a corn snake. I have never had any type of reptiles before only dogs! So I needed guidance as to the care and background of corn snakes. I have bought a few differnet books, one was far too technical for me and another was too simple, but this one for me was just what I needed. Its written well, its easy to understand and covers everything you need to know about keeping corn snakes. A plus is the lovely photos ;-)

I have bought several books over the years and if you are just setting out in keeping snakes or want some information before you decide on a pet then this is a great book. Packed with information though some information relevant to warmer climates. It is a great book and even though I have had snakes for some years now, I still like to have this book handy to have the information nearby, there is always something to learn

I purchased this book to fill me in on anything I did not know about corn snakes. I would have preferred it if the book was longer as I have a different book about corn snakes which is very useful. However, I found that this book was informative and covered a few things that were not in my previous book. An ideal read for anyone interested in corn snakes.
