Kanu Surf Men's Standard Bellaire Swim Trunks (Regular & Extended Sizes)

The following review is being written by Margaret's spouse who will be wearing the Kanu Surf Men's Legacy Swim Trunk, size XL. Legacy is an appropriate name for these trunks because they have a functional elastic waistband as opposed to many board shorts the younger generation might prefer to wear. As a 69 year old, I prefer the functional elastic with a functional drawstring. Out-of-the-bag the material felt nice to the touch, and I saw no flaws in the seams or material. Some seams are triple stitched and some are double. The color is pretty much as I expected from the photo. Here are the measurements. . . I have a 38" waist, by measurement, without clothes. I laid the trunks flat and made some measurements: 17" Unexpanded width at the waist (making it a 34" diameter unexpanded waist); 23" fully expanded (making it a 46" diameter fully expanded waist). Pulling these trunks onto my 38" waist felt comfortable at the waist allowing the drawstring to be tied into a bow with plenty of extra string. As a 38" waisted person, the XL fit the way I like them. There is ample string length for those requiring more. In fact, for me, it seems like there is too much string. 23 1/4" outside length from the waist top to the bottom of the leg. 10 3/4" inside seam length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg. No, I have not been swimming with them yet. Of minor concern will be fading in chlorine at the YMCA pool. I swim approx 4 times a week and my trunks fade. The care instructions do mention to use non-chlorine bleach when washing. Oh, well! Trunks in this price range are going to fade over the course of the year -- not a big issue for me. Mention has been made about no drainage hole in the outside pocket. There is no drainage hole; the outside pocket has no mesh and no drain. The side pockets are mesh. At this point, I'm not seeing that as a deal breaker; I'll deal with it at the "Y" and for the couple of weeks I'm at the beach I'll deal with the trapped sand -- if either even becomes an issue. I guess if you become anal about this you could punch a hole and fit it with a grommet. For now, I'll live with squeezing collected water from the pocket. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Well, the Amazon guideline says 4 stars is "I like it." I do. They say 5 stars is for "love it." Don't know if I'm in love with the trunks, but I sure am pleased with the purchase. Assuming they don't do anything crazy in the pool, I surely can call them a "best buy." I am not a paid reviewer in any way.

My lumberjack husband has worn the same pair of swimming shorts for his entire life I think? One day I decided enough was enough and despite his resistance ordered him these swim shorts. I was looking for a VERY affordable pair because I was 99% sure he would hate them or not like the way they felt on his skin. He's very particular about fabrics and clothing and curses my name every time I buy him clothes. But this time, the risk was worth it because HE LOVES THEM. Sometimes I catch him wearing them around the house instead of his basketball shorts. They fit a little big (great for the ego!) but he says they're soft, comfortable, and he gives them a thumbs up!

After weeks of buying and returning swim trunks, finally trunks that are true to size! Like most of you searching and reading reviews based on sizing and price like I did, its amazing how many manufacturers state that the shorts were true to fit...well after weeks of comical try-ons I finally found swim trunks that are true to size. I'm 5'8 160 pounds athletic build...I always buy medium or 31 inch waist and these shorts arent baggy or skinny, they fit accordingly! I will never buy swim trunks that costs more tha 20 bucks, these are better than I expected!

Size M for my 6 foot slender athletic runner/cyclist Bo so yeah he’s got those thighs.. but he likes them! Long enough and nice to have the drawstring as well as the elastic in the waist. I told him I’d cut out the mesh sac lining but he claimed it was comfortable. (Hey man, I’m just a woman but it looked snug to me. Doesn’t that stuff itch? What do I know?) could easily be comfortable in a large too I think. Got them for pool and water park use mostly. Looks like quality construction, seams and fabric should hold up. Pockets could use drainage but the fabric is soft, quick dry, kind of noisy when it moves (kinda weird right?) It doesn’t seem to bother him. I liked the look of decent shorts when you throw a tee shirt on with it. Presentable enough to be in a bar afterward. NICE!

Not a lot to say about swim trunks,but they fit well and are pretty comfy and dry quickly. I'm 5'10" and around 230 and went with large (I am between a 36 and 38 pant size depending on brand) and they fit very well and needed to be tightened for when in water. I literally got them today and went in the pool right after work since it was almost 90 today. They come to my knee so length is perfect (I don't want short shorts). Unless they fall apart after a few uses these were a win!

We got the red floral size medium and my fiance really likes these shorts. Unlike the picture the shorts go a little below my finances knees. When we received them the legs looked pretty wide so I was worried they would look to baggy on him but after wearing them to the pool they're a perfect fit in our opinion. The shorts are put together well and they do not seem cheap at all. They have a good amount of give in the elastic around the waist. Along with the regular neared pockets there are 2 cargo pockets with Velcro the is working well. The only thing my fiance doesnt like is the neat within the shorts. You know the kind that alot of swum trunks have.

My husband loved this suit. Going to order more in different colors. He has a larger build, size 38 waist and doesn't typically like how board shorts fit. These look great with out looking too old man'ish. Got the XL.

We bought these trunks before a trip and they not only look fantastic and spot-on, they are great quality, and my husband looked so attractive in them! We didn't want to fight the stores at the end of the season and try to find a plus size swim trunk. Even if we had found some, I bet they would have been boring solids! Highly recommended. They were true to fit too.

Tuve la oportunidad de comprarme dos trajes de baño de esta marca (Kanu Surf) y les puedo decir que estoy muy satisfecho, la calidad del producto es muy buena, los utilice durante una semana que me fui a playa del carmen y quede en general muy contento. Mi escala subjetiva para explicar mis comentarios, si pudiera poner las cosas en escala:[ 0 Pésimo / 1 Muy mal / 2 Mal / 3 Regular / 4 Bien / 5 Muy bien / 6 Excelente] Tiempo de entrega: Muy bien. Integridad del producto: Muy bien. Calidad del producto: Regular-Buena.El color y la textura se ven mucho mejor en las imágenes más que en la realidad incluso en comparacion con productos de esta misma marca, algunas costuras venían con hilo excedente y en partes con costura muy simple y pobre, lo cual no me agrado mucho, la sensación al tacto es un poco rígida. Talla/ajuste: Bien.El fit de la cintura fue el indicado de acuerdo a la guía de tallas, pero es ligeramente más amplio en las piernas en largo y ancho. Precio/calidad: Regular – Buena.El precio ligeramente alto (en la fecha que compré tal vez, pero no muy convencido) sin embargo una vez probado el producto, sí existen más opciones a precios similares con calidades competentes. Conclusión:Satisfecho, ligeramente por debajo de lo que esperaba, si necesitará un producto similar dejaría este producto en segunda y/o tercera opción en busca de mejor relación precio-calidad.

Primera vez que compro esta marca. Actualizaré mis comentarios una vez que haya usado el producto, mientras tanto, aquí va la primera impresión:Es un traje de baño que luce muy bien y se siente de calidad. A la vista no hay mucho que objetar.En tanto a la talla, consulté aquí antes de comprarlo y decidí ordenar XL para una cintura 38.Tal como viene, la cintura del traje de baño sí debe ser de esa medida pero como trae resorte, creo que quizá estire hasta un talla 40.Probablemente ordenaré otro para probar cómo me queda en talla L.Otro detalle que considero importante es que el corte es amplio, no es entubado. Respecto a lo largo, a una persona de 1,75 aproximadamente le queda en la rodilla o un poquito abajo, insisto, creo que habrá que probar la talla L.En conclusión, me lo quedaré ya que creo que aunque venga amplio, está bien.

Shell of shorts is normal but the liner is very small. I think they sewn in the wrong liner. I could only get my hand half way in the pockets and the liner is very snug to my junk. I ordered other Kanu shorts with this order and they are normal. Other swimwear fits well. Same size, Same brand, Same look but these are not comfortable. Would be worried to order again. I ended up cutting out the liner.

Heading says it all. Nice and colourful for 🏖 visits and good stretch waste band too. Only thing is I would have liked it in a wee bit softer material, but it’s not a major issue and not that bad.

No me gusta, la malla interior es demasiado incómoda, los orificios de la malla con grandes y ocasionan pellizcos en donde te platiqué. La verdad es muy incomodo. Por lo demás bien

El diseño vale la pena, tiene una malla interior, y los bosillos laterales son de ese mismo tipo de malla, eso no me da confianza como para llevar mi cartera/teléfono/llaves

Il est vraiment beau en vrai mais il est un petit peu plus grand que prévu. Mais rien de dramatique que je vais perdre mes culottes mais disons que je ne plongerais pas avec. :)

Me gusto mucho el short, pensé que me iba a quedar grande pero quedo justo a la medida sin estar ajustado. El material se siente de buena calidad y es muy cómodo. Lo recomiendo

I really like the shorts, the only issue like described in other reviews is that the mesh inside is small. I was able to cut it (not cut it out) and use them comfortably

The suit was of excellent quality. I liked it very much. I have 19 cm abdominal hernia and the suit was not quite big enough. Without the hernia it would have fit.The purchase came with a free return. It was very easy to make the return and my refund was processed in a few days.

Not impressed with the fabric or the length (really long), wouldn’t buy again or recommend. They did fit well in the waist and the fabric dries fast.

Justo la talla que esperaba, la calidad , color y sobre todo la comodidad que esperaba, cumple perfectamente o mas de lo que esperaba.Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

I looked far and wide for this!Fits great and can easily pass for summer shorts as well. I love it!Cleaning tip for the fishnet lining: use antibacterial handsoap (not gel).
