If you're not a completest it's not needed, but if you're like me get it.
This expansion is harder to get due to many backers not buying it, so if you can get it I suggest that you do. One word of warning, the Earth Elemental's Cards are misprinted. These are available as either a PDF, getting them from CMON, or Secondary Markets. I think they are also in the Crystal Cavern Tile Set.

Adds a whole new level to the game. Having additional roaming monsters available mixes up the difficulty and allows for more variety each and every level.

Sparse on figures but pretty expansive in terms of content
Expansion adds some 4-5 roaming monsters to MD2, assuming you also bought the upgrade pack. Worth the money I think. Other enemy expansions will have one roaming and two types of mob by comparison.I don't know how good this is for MD1 as I've never played the original game.
