only fire #8554 Stainless Steel Charcoal Ash Basket Fits X-Large Big Green Egg Ceramic Grills

I have an XL BGE and after using it for two cooks I’m wondering what took me so long to get this. Before I could put it in I had to remove a lot of charcoal from a previous cook. My wife couldn’t understand why I wanted this, so after she watched me choking to death on all the ash dust she finally got her aha-moment. It is heavier than I thought it would be, which is a good thing, so hopefully it lasts a good long time. All I can say is that if you don’t have one and are tired of choking on ash dust every time you want to clean it out, then you need this in your life.

No complaints at all. Works as advertised.

Bought this for our XL green egg. Price is definitely better than from the Green Egg company.

I've used this about four times so far. It makes the ash cleanup so easy. I just pick it up and spread it over the garden. Also, the dual zone cooking works great.

I love the ash basket. I only gave 4 stars bc as great as it is. The only flaw is the bars are too far apart so it’s easy to lose some coal along the way. But other than that it’s great.

Ash basket w ability to segment charcoal for great flexibility in smoking/grilling on a BGE.

Purchased for XL Green Egg, not sure if I really need it. Wait I can say, it has great weight, welds seem good. Looking forward to using on next cook. I like devider that can be removed. I am a slow and low rope cooker, normally just cut air off and egg stops cooking.

Great product and much more economical than the name brands. Definitely recommend.

This is advertised as "Fits for 24 inch X-Large Big Green Egg and other similar size ceramic grills." My PittBoss K24 needed this feature but the this basket is way too big and sticks up 1" at the rim of the basket and 2.5" at the handles of the basket. This does not allow me to use my grate, ceramic heat diffuser, or water pan so is a return item for me.I am giving it 4 stars however as the product itself is very well put together, I will look for a different model from this vendor as the price was good but the size description threw me off

Produkt wirkt gut verarbeitet und wertig. Leider passt es nicht ins BGE Large und geht daher zurück.

Didn't fit extra large bge. It would just sit in and then fall with the slightest of movement. Only useable if you keep the original charcoal grate so no increased air flow.
