Q: Does the hoses directly to the pump or need to purchase another fitting?

It dose connect to both the high and low pressure side of the auto air conditioning system and also directly to the vacuumed pump. But, you will/may need an adaptor to get any gas out of the can (12oz type sold at retail outlets).

Q: Does it work with r410a?

It comes with several adaptors one of them should fit for sure

No, just get quality oil and leak detector from auto parts store. the unit is fine, no problems.

Q: I notice there are additional ports on the bottom , what is the function? the 2 R134 fitting on the 2 sides,right?

You can use the quick couplers on hoses to clip on the side to keep from dirt getting in them and R134 is on the both sides.
