This brush is a synthetic, which I like because of the non-use of any animals. It's a little better quality than the Ebony Splendor in my opinion. It does function like a true animal hair brush and it can hold lots of water for the kind of effects you'd want it for. I recommend this as it was recommended to me.

3 of my granddaughters thinking I was sending them an actual Kolinsky watercolor Round 4. The only reason I didn't know is that they live out of state. THIS brush IS NNNNNNOOOOOOTTTTT a KOLINSKY BRUSH. It is a Mimik Kolinsky meaning FAKE and SUB PAR. I only found out my error when the latest one I bought arrived on 12/19 for me to put an art box I'm creating for a teenaged artist in a foster group home aka orphanage. I guess I'll give it to the youngster even though it isn't my favorite Kolinsky Round 4 brush. I am NOT pleased!!!!

This is the second Mimik brush I have purchased. The first was #6 round, which I love. Love the price. I've spent much more on some of my brushes...........but keep coming back to Mimik.

These brushes are esquisite! Lovely range if sizes, full bellies, very nice points, great snap.sturdy travel case. I am enjoying them very much. Not to mention outstanding customer service from the seller!

I love everything about these brushes. The packaging is great in a lovely case and perfect for travel painting. Handmade in Germany, I give them an A+.
