The auto industry started mixing metric w/standard american bolt sizes back in the (? 80's I don't know was away in service). Now can't do hardly anything without this and the SAE counterpart. These days its not just a handy tool to have, its a necessity.

Thread gauge tool
Great combination thread gauge tool (3 tools in 1) The Americans obviously make tools for 'every' application. I would purchase Murray tools again when needed. I love the 'split' re-threading nut.

Metric bolt and pitch gauge
Perfect for the tool box. Hard to find a quality metal thread and pitch card. This appears to be well manufactured and should be the only one I will have to but. Beats out a standard pitch gauge. Only reason I give a 4 instead of 5 is that the thread pitch teeth are a bit shallower than others I have
