The Night Before Christmas : A Classic Holiday Story Keepsake

The artwork in the book is very colorful and cute; however, this is the PC version. I wanted the original version of the poem but there is no mention of Santa’s pipe. If you don’t have a preference as to which version of the poem or do not want any mention of Santa’s pipe, then I would recommend this book.

Beautiful book. I love the colorful pages and amazing artwork. This magically appeared under our tree in a Christmas Eve box for my grandson while Santa and Mrs. Claus was visiting him outside. (Thanks to our local fire department.)We really enjoyed making memories while reading this together on Christmas eve.

sparkly on the outside, beautiful illustrations on the inside. Wonderful Christmas gift. I'm giving mine to an expectant mother but really perfect for any young child, or to read to younger children.

This is a beautiful book! Illustrations are so lovely and colorful, the size is great for holding around my baby when she's on my lap, and the price was very reasonable for such a quality item. This will be a wonderful keepsake book for years to come. Highly recommend.

This is not the original version of the poem. It has been edited to remove the reference to Santa's pipe. The pictures are adorable and colorful, great for a young child. We were looking for the classic version, however, and may not keep this one.

This is a lovely book. Illustrations are beautiful and my kids love the mouse on each page. However, the book arrived in less than pristine shape. Every single page is rippled, almost as though it had gotten wet at some point. Disappointed that our first read through, on Christmas Eve, was a little less special than it should have been.

The pictures are bright with cute, instantly recognisable characters and limited text on each page, which all helps keep my nearly-2-year-old's interest while I read her the story. The text/picture arrangement feel a bit like the style of Julia Donaldson books like The Gruffalo, and they held my daughter's attention in a similar way. The book is hardback so sturdy enough to endure a small kid's enthusiasm. It comes with a dust jacket that is the same image and design as the hardcover of the book itself, which is useful as I've removed it and will put back on in years to come if my toddler does bash the corners of the book (so it will hopefully still look good as a momento when she's older). I like that this book also has Santa and the reindeer drawn elf-sized, which is true to how they are described in the story but is often missed in modern picture books.

Love this book, I brought it for our 8yr old son and it’s written perfectly for his age range, great story, pictures and cover!
