Dewalt DWHT10911 Spring Assist Opening Pocket Knife

The media could not be loaded. This is one of the most sharp knives I have come across out of the box. It is a sturdy and 'well oiled ' knive . I have ordered several so I will be set for years to come. Would definitely get another if I lose any. THANKS DEWALT 😊

This Knife was delivered fast, Was really sharp out of packaging which should be expected from all knives but on Amazon may not be the case. But overall great buy, worth the money And recommend to all.

I think Dewalt makes a great knife. I really like their knives, however, the spring assist is something that I am not incredibly fond of, I found it to be difficult to open when hands are wet, and with that, I would not recommend it for applications in which you need to open and close your blade often, as the spring assist is not as easy as the manual opener, so I would have to say that I prefer my Dewalt manual (w/o spring assist) as it is not compromised when wet, and doesn't force your thumb into an unnatural position for opening.However, what I will say in favor if the Dewalt spring assist is that it would be a great knife to use when you need a safety feature that could detour people from accidentally cutting themselves, as the spring assist serves similar to a safety lock, where a child would have a hard time opening the knife, which I think makes it a good knife to use in a culinary or household work where secure blades are favorable.

My brother is a dewalt guy and I'm not. We talk trash about our respective tool brands all in good fun. This knife is excellent. I used to use a craftsman knife that was basically the same. My wife bought me this one for Christmas and I was pleased to find it has the safety(kids) I look for. It comes with a nicely sharpened blade. Don't tell my brother. Now if I could stop misusing my knives and breaking the tips off, I'd be good to go.

For the money this is one of the best knives. I don’t care for the little switch you have to push to open but the quality you get for under 20$ can’t be beat. I almost cried when I left my first one on a RV pedestal in Co. Found a replacement on Amazon.

Impossible to open, the way the soring mechanism works puts too much sideways pressure when closed to open using the lock. One the lock is removed it can be opened but still have to press very very hard for it to open and the spring doesnt swing the blade all the way out. It uses cheap brass flat washers inside instead if any kind if bearing so the action is not smooth at all

I bought this at Home Depot years ago and lost it and I couldn’t find it anywhere except Amazon this knife is very reliable and safe to use and very durable
