Works fine in my Whole House 20 inch Pentek Big Blue Filter Housing. I've used the Pentek EM-20BB cartridges for the last 10+ years but thought I'd try this Geekpure filter which was 35% less expensive. At a flow rate of 8 GPM there is a 2 psi pressure drop which is the same as the Pentek filters upon initial installation. The old filter I replaced was at a 3-4 psi drop at the same flow rate after being in service a year. I have pressure gauges installed ahead of and after the filter to monitor pressure drop. Feed water tested 1.3 ppm Free Chlorine and 0.1 ppm (or less) after the filter at that 8 GPM flow rate. We'll see how it goes.

Bought cheaper than the one sold locally. Saved over $10. Needed to replace my old one that lasted from Nov - Jan on a house with a well that smells like sulfur. Made a big difference. Didnt want to spend a lot of $ on a sulfur removal treatment but this is a good alternative. I would continuously buy this and from this company. This will last for another 3 months.

Works for my big blue canister filter, we will see how long they will last however in a few months. seems to filter well though and is properly sized.

In the past I have used the Pentek FloPlus filters. They go for $79 now on Amazon. Each time I replace a filter, I look for new alternatives. This time I found the Geekpure. It's close to 1/3 the price I was paying. It came with 5-star reviews. Why not! I know that a new filter is needed when the pressure drops. I replaced the old with the Geekpure. It's a 5 Micron carbon like the rest. The pressure was back. No smell of chlorine or anything else. Great tasting water. That's all I'm looking for. Now, we'll see how long it lasts. That's the final test.

Bought two, quality built units from what i can tell, one came chipped on the edge but the carbon was not damaged and was OK to be used. Water has no chlorine smell, they seem to be working good, time will tell if they last as the other brand.

Well, it has not leaked. And everything seems to be functioning properly. The length was identical but the diameter is about almost a 1/4” smaller than the original. I don’t feel that is a problem I guess time will tell. I am so far very happy with the purchase. Really I can’t taste any difference. So that should be a good thing. Everyone who tries our water says it tastes different than their regular tap water and they like it. So somethings working. 🙂 I will update in a month.

Been purchasing these filters for years. The rated working pressure has reduced from 115PSI to 100PSI. Perhaps not at the fault of the supplier but the manufacturer of the filtration media. This info should be added by the seller to the listing. Time will tell on how long this filter will now last.

So Today is Aug. 21, 2019. I purchased this filter on June 18, 2019. Let's say I received it within 3 days and installed right away which is unlikely for but argument sake. That would give the life span of this filter of 2 months exactly! We replaced the filter today because the smell was beginning to get quite strong and likely should have been done roughly a week ago but I didn't think that could have been it seeing it was just installed less than 2 months ago. Now all of that being said, this is for our cottage that and the water is fairly hard. I knew it was time to replace as when the filter gets clogged up and in need of replacing, our Hot water on demand system will shut down and not produce hot water. I went with this filter because it claims to be residential and commercial-grade quality so figured this it would be a great solution to our problem of hard water. We do not drink our water typically. Well I do at times and usually find it fine, but my wife and daughter do not. They prefer water from the fridge through another filter system. (Basically filtered 3 times as we have the big filter, a UV light, then the fridge filter) Either way, to have safe clean drinking water, for $45 bucks to have to replace once a month even is worth it, but do not get attracted to this filter because it says 6-12 month life span or residential/commercial-grade quality.
