I have extremely thick hair, will this keep my hair from 'poofing' when dried?

I apply anywhere from a quarter size on up because of how thick my hair is and I like the slick and wet look but this will hold through almost anything but a shower

Does it give your hair the crunchy look where its really noticeable you put stuff in your hair?

No it doesn't. You can adjust the amount of hold very easily one of the reasons that I like it. Once it dries I can comb through with my fingers or a brush to adjust the hold to just how I want it for the occasion. I really do like the stuff have been using it for several years and noticed may salons do to.

Can i do whatever billy idol has going on with this gel

haha the gel doesn't work as well as I thought it would. It seems watery, and doesn't hold my hair up as good as other brands .

I see many reviewers claim this is a fake product, not real crew brand. how can i be sure of what i am buying?

I use to use crew pre pandemic and stopped after ridiculous price hike of double. This is definitely a fake. I’ve had to use twice as much to get even a decent hold. Definitely watered down crew.
