Works with ESPHome/Wemos D1
Use with EspHome / Wemos D1 (ESP8266) - works, but let me save you some headache This took me forever to figure out, but long story short, use pin D5/GPIO14 for the signal wire. For some reason, multiple other pins didn't work (possibly something about the way the board treats other pins when it boots). 3V power supply to the sensor and jump a 4.7kohm resistor between 3v and signal wire. The use a one-wire bus assigned to GPIO14, and a dallas_temperature sensor (documentation available on ESPHome website) for each physical probe. Every probe sensor wire goes to GPIO14. Hope this obscure information helps someone in the future ๐

Accurate enough and very inexpensive
I purchased these for monitoring the temperature in my machine room and server racks. Inexpensive, easy to wire up to a USB-to-TTS dongle, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi. They work well with the DallasTemperature "OneWire" library and with the linux "digitemp" program (apt install digitemp). For accuracy, I suspended the sensor in the air, waited 30 minutes, and compared their measurements against two different physical thermometers. Each of the five digital thermometers were within 2 degrees F (1 degree C) of the physical thermometers, and all of these thermometers matched each other to within 0.5F. That's accurate enough for my own needs. (Especially since I have no direct way to measure the accuracy of the physical thermometers. For all I know, these may be more accurate.)

Decent quality temperature probe
I have included several of these in multiple applications (indoors & outdoors) and havenโt had any issues so for.

Perfect for DIY projects
Easy to setup and program. I use this with ESP32-S3 to monitor the temperature of my laptop. My ASUS ROG heats up quickly!

Good
Good product, wish they could have included the 4.7 k ohm resistor !

These work as expected.
These work as expected. There is some slight variance between them, so I calibrate them (with a straight-line approximation in software) with ice- and boiling-water baths to dial them in.

Great way to monitor and adjust hydronic solar system
So easy to measure temperature with these and a Raspberry Pi computer. Only word of caution, the length of the wire is very important along with the daisy chaining of probes and the pull up resistor. My run is well under the 1000 foot limit for Dallas 1-wire circuits but until I got them wired up and found a good value for the resistor, I could not get reliable readings. My system has 7 sensors on about 500 feet of #23awg Cat-6 wire. The original 4.7k ohm resistor worked ok but would get a wired reading from time to time. Once I changed the value to 2.7k ohms, the system became very stable. One thing to note, the copper lead are very thin and hard to tin or solder too.

How good do you need it?
I bought 10 of these to map temperatures on a single large object. .They worked pretty well though all of them came set to 9 bits ( the lowest resolution, about 1/2 a degree C step ). I've used them for decades but I just embedded the resolution in my code and forgot about it. 12 bits looks better.

Works as advertised. Based on Dallas DS18B20 chip, no voltage conversion necessary. Look in the arduino libraries for advanced uses
