Great!
Great product! My granddaughter makes toast whenever she wants and I don't have to worry about her burning her fingers because it comes out on the bottom and it's warm. It's nice that you can also toast bagles ❤️ the controls are easy to figure out. Looks nice and veri slim

West Bend Toaster
The West Bend Quik Serve Toaster works very well. I got it for its slim design. I don’t have a lot of counter space. It does well with toast, bagels and toaster pastries. My only drawback was the flap that lays down to catch the finished toast is made cheaply. When folded up it just makes the toaster less appealing. It’s just account plastic sheet.

Pretty darn cool
Very fast, very efficient. I’ve only used it a few times so far, but I’m very happy with it. It wasn’t until after using it twice that I realized it wouldn’t be a good idea under the cabinet (as pictured), but very little heat had transferred to the underside of the cabinet. Personally I’ll probably pull it out when I use it from now on, just to be safe, but I think it would work just fine directly under your cabinets. Clearance isn’t a problem, either. There’s plenty of room from the top of the toaster to the bottom of the above cabinet. Still, if you choose to use it directly under a cabinet be careful. Like I said, there wasn’t a lot of heat transferred, but different finishes can produce different results, so keep an eye on it. As for the toaster itself, it worked great at reheated some frozen waffles I had made earlier. They even came out with a little extra crispiness that my previous toaster couldn’t provide. They were evenly heated (5 - medium) without much change in color. I haven’t tried toast, but if this thing can handle a waffle with care then I think toast would be no problem at all. Make sure you follow the instructions - it’s like one page of info so there’s no reason not to. Use it empty on high power before actually toasting anything. After this first round I noticed a tiny drop of pink machine lube on my counter. It must’ve shot out when the toasting ejector had activated. This stuff stinks and needs to be burned off. You don’t want it on your food. Hope that helps. I was a little on the fence because of some negative reviews, but I haven’t seen anything yet to make me not love this toaster. It’s perfect. And the price is on point. If you’re like me and considering getting a high-end toaster ($100) - DON’T. At least not without giving this one a try first. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Cold Yet Toasted?
This product looked like an easy win for my kids and me. It’s a bit on the humorous side, but if it functioned as it was advertised then it was perfect for my family. Sadly, it missed the mark in functionality. The general color and ability to not burn anything was solid, but no matter way, the items that came out had little to no residual heat. This is a bit odd, but after multiple tries, it has not improved an seemed to slowly be working its way to being replaced… Sad because it is a very cool design.

Not perfect, not the best i have ever used, glad i bought it.
Easily the best toaster I have had in 20+ years. Cons. 2nd toasting is much darker than first toasting. harder to push down large slices don't toast as even only 2 slices short power cord Pros. good temperature control (clickly) Even toasting 99% of the time toast slides out bottom Loud clunk lets you know when its done Simple design. relatively fast toasting easy clean up minimal counter space My favorite toaster is no longer made and becoming a collectors item. This is faster and toast better. the bottom eject is obviously the best feature. Its harder to push down than most, fine for an adult but might be hard for younger kids. Has a loud clunk when it ends which I think is a plus. Large rye pieces tend to stick out the top if cooking 2 at time, this happens with many toasters. You can just toast 1 piece of a time. Because the toaster is warmer the first batch will be lighter than following batches. Turning the toaster down 2-3 clicks is a must after the first batch if you want consistent toasting. I like the clicky temperature dial. Gives you more consistent results. i do wish there were better marking but honestly you can make your own if you need. I do wish the toaster could be mounted to the wall but it takes up less space than most 2 slice toasters. I have only used it for about a month, but will update this if my impression changes or if it breaks.

worked as advertised
We haven't "really" used it, we've only tested it so far (we are using it in our RV. We start a new trip next week) However, it's "pretty cool" during testing and it did what it's supposed to. The toast was fine, but we bought it because it fit a specific thin space and for the novelty of it. Definitely no burned fingers any longer for stuck pieces! I'll come back and update if it doesn't live up to expectations...

It's almost comical how much I hate this toaster.
I'm an overthinker. If I need a toaster, I read reviews, look for consumer reports-type articles or lists, even watch videos. I go analyze if the good reviews are just people on their first day of owning it who have no idea if it will work beyond day 1, or if the bad reviews are people who don't know how to work product reviews who are whining about shipping delays. But this time... this time, I thought, you know what? I have pretty close to ZERO free time. I'm a busy person. It is not worth my time or effort to agonize over some $50 machine I use twice a week. I'll pick something with 4 stars or more and go. This one popped up in a list of Black Friday deals, so bam - pulled the trigger. When it arrived, I immediately thought, "Uh, so maybe I should have at least looked at it a little closer... why is it so tall?" A tall toaster might not bother a person with an open bar for it, but mine goes on a counter under some refaced cabinets. Which means the coating would warp if a toaster's heat came up 4 inches below it, enough to make the cabinets hot. So, we had to pull this toaster out to the very edge of the counter in order to use it. Strike one. (There seems to be no benefit from the excessive height of this toaster - it was demonstrably taller than my other two slice toaster we were replacing.) Then, the stupid panel thing. I assume because the toaster is so tall, we don't want the toast to pop up - we want it to slide out. Which it did. Right onto my floor. Because it was on the edge of the counter, and the little panel is on a downhill tilt. The toast "Pops" with speed, but down. It doesn't just drop - it pops. And flies down the smooth plastic slide panel. And onto the floor. Especially anything heavier, like a thick slice of bread or a bagel. The dog was happy and the cats were alarmed, but I was just irritated. Strike 2. I decided to keep the damn thing despite the OBVIOUS design stupidity, as punishment for my laziness of not doing my required toaster research. But you know what? It doesn't toast! It takes FOREVER to turn it anything more than warm. Then, when it's finally almost there (cabinets starting to melt, kid late for virtual school, and me standing there propping up the slide so my kid's breakfast doesn't get served to the dog first) it goes from barely tan to almost black. No temperature consistency. Seriously the most annoying small appliance with the dumbest design ever. I hate everything about it - from the fact that there is no cord storage, to the extra steps required to move it and adjust it and clean the slide before you fold it back up, to the awkward amount of space it takes up, to the fact that they thought it still needed a burst of energy when clearly gravity would have been fine... everything. But worst of all is that it can't make toast the way you want it. Setting 3 made darker toast than setting 5. I burned or dropped to the floor about 50% of everything I ever put in it. It's January and this was delivered in December and it's being donated. Honestly, I should do the future recipient a favor and trash the thing. Two stars because people don't believe one star reviews, and you should ALWAYS read the reviews.

Why didn't someone think of this before
Love this toaster. It cooks the toast some much faster than our old style one and gives and nice even toasting on the slice of bread. The only issue i notices was if you some bread that is really big and the toast falls it might grab a piece of the bread and it doesn't fall all the way out and you may have to tear it out, One I realized that we don't overload it.

Cooks toast faster.
Excellent. Cooks my gluten free toast. Quickly so it won’t dry out in toaster.
