Via is a Go-To for coffee on the trail. No muss, no fuss, easy as boiling water, suitable for any vessel you prefer to carry along to drink from. Yes, there is great pour-over for the trail, there are "fresher and better" ways to make coffee, and there are emerging competitors for "instant coffee on the trail", but Starbuck's has led the way for simplicity and ultra light weight, ultra compact in the pack, and yet ultra flavorful coffee with its Via Instants.For a robust flavor, both the Italian and French Dark roast offer that smoky, toasty flavor at less caffeine , typical of dark roast. If you enjoy donut coffee, or need the caffeine in your morning cup, stick to the Via medium, which is very flavorful and balanced. Which Via to choose? Personal preference... give each a try... maybe then carry some of each and tailor your coffee by time of day or how you feel. After all, a packet weighs nothing and takes no space... until its 3 times a day for a week or two, but even then some find space for this comfort.

I first came across these when they were sold at Starbucks locations. They are very convenient for traveling or any time I'm having coffee away from home. For my taste I find that one packet makes about three cups of coffee. I'll even use them at home occasionally when I really need a quick cup o' joe.

One envelope (6 per pack for a total of 36 in the whole box) makes 16 oz. of lightly-sweetened Starbucks iced coffee, so this will really get you going! If you normally use half-and-half or cream in your coffee, try mixing the powder from each envelope with 16 oz. of cold milk (full fat, skim, whatever you like) instead of water to get a richer drink than with cream alone (and with more calcium, too!). If you use skim, you actually get the effect of a large dose of creamer without any fat at all! And it tastes spectacular. I used to add chocolate syrup sometimes for a mocha, but I find it's so rich by itself that I can barely tell whether the chocolate has been added or not, so now I don't even bother. It's that good. I drink this everyday, year-round, and find it extremely easy to order in from Amazon to be sure of never running out. A total win for me. (But I don't think I'd have one mid-to-late afternoon unless I were planning on an all-nighter!) :)

It's great for those days you want a flavored coffee without putting in a lot of effort. Personally, I prefer a good blonde roast as I just don't prefer bolder brews. This is good but a touch too sweet for my taste. It does taste very similar to the same offering at a Starbucks store so it does have that right. It's best if you make it with slightly less water than recommended or make it with a bit of milk as it can be a touch watery if using the measurements on the package. Also the taste is much closer to a latte than a flavored coffee.

I like the idea that I can still get this great instant coffee! When I am in a hurry, I can just make some hot water stir this up and the way I go! You can't get a better batch of an Instant Coffee Mocha Latte! The flavor is consistent and Great! More than I can say when you go to get it fresh, the flavor is sometimes better, but most of the time disappointing. Besides, if I want a richer flavor, I just add a scoop of coffee ice cream. But for the most part, it can stand alone. Also, I must add, I discovered this coffee in my local grocery store, and noticed that other grocers carried it until mid-summer of 2021. Not sure why they stopped carrying the coffee, because this coffee always flew off the shelves, but I am sure happy to be able to get it online via Amazon. Thank you for all you do!

Super yummy and fragrant. For all our traveling trips, this is a must in out suitcase or camper. Easy, convenient and very cost effective!

Maybe it's a matter of personal taste, but this coffee seemed very comparable to various less-expensive common store brands, to me.
