TYC 700160 Pontiac Vibe Replacement Blower Assembly

Replaced the broken blower motor in my 2005 Pontiac vibe with this one and it works great. No issues going on 2 weeks. Highly recommend.

I bought this from Amazon after banging on the underside of the old fan to keep it working (as others had recommended), but the old fan finally died. I don't consider myself a car mechanic, but after searching the internet on how to install this fan, it couldn't have been easier!. Just go to the genvibe website, and there are posts that show step-by-step pictures. It took me only about 20 minutes with some simple tools - screwdrivers, ratchet wrench, and a light! Fan started up immediately. We will see how long it runs but for $45 it is worth it!Update: So the previous one lasted 4 years, it didn't fail but started making a minor noise. Decided to change it out, very happy with the price and the quality.

This replacement blower fit perfectly. Replacement was simple and maybe took 40 minutes. There is a slight whirring noise compared to the factory blower but it's not that bad. For $45 and 40 minutes, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than having the dealer replace. Yes, it's a little louder than the factory unit but not too bad. A great value and easy to install. I highly recommend!!

My OEM blower motor was squeaking/squealing for a few months now, and I finally decided to replace it. GM/Toyota wanted a few hundred for the part, so I decided to give this TYC one a try.I'm quite happy. Install was easy with an online guide at GenVibe.com, and some basic hand tools. I had it replaced within an hour and a half.My only reason for four stars instead of five is motor noise. The motor noise of this unit is greater than the original OEM unit (I have two Vibes, so I compared them). It's not a big deal when in motion, as road and engine noise is greater, but at a stoplight, the blower motor can easily be heard. It's very minor though, and totally something I can live with for under $50 for this blower rather than a few hundred from the dealer (which might fail in a few years anyway, like my original one did).

Works in my 07 vibe, a little of a pain in the butt to get to in order to replace but very DIY. Watch a YouTube video first for reference to make it go faster. You will need to remove the rubber gasket off the old blower and put it on the new one.

I have a 2006 Vibe, and it was time for a new blower motor. The cheapest the parts houses had was upwards of $100. This unit was $40ish dollars so even if it doesn’t last as long, I can replace it 2 more times and still be at around the cost of one from the parts house. Plus this car is almost 14 years old. Install is easy. So far it works perfectly.

My OEM Vibe blower had been making a pretty horrific growling noise for a long time. I was pretty sure a wolverine was living in my dash somewhere. Finally being fed up with the noise I decided to fix the issue. I was a little hesitant about getting a 3rd party motor but after seeing the price of the OEM replacement that choice became a lot easier. Installation was pretty simple especially with the guide at the Genvibe website. If you type in "vibe blower motor replacement" in Google it's the first hit. The new motor worked like a champ. Unfortunately my Vibe and a Yukon tried to be in the same spot at the same time and that lead to the demise of my Vibe. But the blower motor was still going strong!

It looked 95% the same as original. Fits perfectly and works fine.

The product is Awesome but now I’m a bit upset cuz my friend had also ordered me one & didn’t tell me soon enough to be able to return this one & put the $$ towards other parts I need so now I’m stuck with 2 of these heater fans,,, oh well & the window to return is Closed otherwise All Great
