The key (for any other novices) is PTFE tape around the screw thread and, when screwing in the tap would have left it pointing in the wrong direction, a second try with a couple of extra wraps of PTFE tape built up the thread enough to lock tightly with the tap nozzles pointing straight down, as they should be. The tap is very easy to operate and is a massive improvement on a typical garden tap. Having 2 nozzles, allowing a hose to remain connected whilst still leaving an available spout, is genius. It looks very smart too. The included metal quick fix nozzles fit the plastic Hozelock parts on things I already own. Very happy with this item and I would recommend it! VERY happy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tough, easy to turn and lasts *by C***C on 2 May 2021* Dropped to 4* as showing signs of rust on the outside fitted one and handles show uv degradation. 4 years old. Still going great though, had to add lots of pfte tape when installing as it was upside down when tight. It might take a few goes to get the tape right, count the number of loops you do and add 5 for each 1/4 it's off by. Really easy to turn on/off, nothing stiff.
