After exposing a little bit of the sticker from the protective see through material, I would pause and carefully move the guitar pick to where the next bit of inlay sticker is about to be exposed. It was a very slow and delicate process. The inlay stickers did not want to grab the fretboard as much as the protective see through layer wanted to grab the fret sticker, see part about using 0.5mm to help lol. These are stickers, but they are really tough and durable. I don't see these having any trouble as far as scuffing or getting damaged. If your mandolin has the same spacing at the 12th fret, they will work. But in reality they will not. If you are determined you can cut them to fit your instrument.
