Works as described, although the app is pretty amateurish - you have a spinner that you have to rotate to access all of the patterns. Why not just a numeric entry field you can type into, with +/-1 and +/- 10 buttons? Even better, since most patterns are just repeated with a different color, give me one control to pick the pattern, and another the color variation? Then I could select the pattern 10x faster. Also needs a favorite/memory function to store your favorites in a short list. A notes field would be a bonus. As others have noted, eventually the app disconnects from the lights - WITHOUT ANYNOTICE. No amount of refreshing the device list will fix it. This probably leads to most of the negative reviews come up and returned devices because people just starting with it think it's broken, not realizing the connection has failed.
