SPI Home Cat and Butterfly Curiosity Garden Statue Green 7.5" x 10.5" x 15"

We have five cats in our pet cemetery and have tried different plaques and statures for remembrance, but for different reasons none have been really what we needed. We decided to use one vertical cat statue to commemorate all five cats. Being vertical it is easy to affix a collar with five engraved name tags for the five cats.The SPI Home Cat and Butterfly Curiosity Garden Statue was well package, arrived without damage, and seems very robust. The artwork and finish are excellent, reminding us of similar weathered bronze statues at one of our favorite places Brookgreen Gardens near Myrtle Beach, SC. It's just what we were looking for and should hold up very well in the spot we have selected at the head of one of our garden areas.To those who felt the statue was too light, I don't thing so. Yes it's hollow, but weighs about 4.5 pounds, I have no worries about it blowing over in anything short of a hurricane. Any DIYer could easily add more weight if really felt to be necessary. For the money, a nice, well made piece of artwork.

I got this statue because it reminds me of my cat Victor. Victor is the coolest cat...he was found at 6 weeks old in the engine bay of a Crown Victoria at the oil shop my son was working at. Of course I had to put the last pic in. lol He's not mean...he's just funny. Back to the statue...it is perfect! I first saw it in a boutique store but the price was a bit steep for me. Amazon has everything so I searched. Found it here for about $25 less :) It is very well made, and definitely heavy enough to withstand any windstorms here. However I love it so much that I think it will have it's home in my dining room.

This adorable cat was just what we wanted. The butterfly atop its nose just adds to the whimsy. We've already had it in four different spots seeking out just the right viewing angle!

The statue was as pictured and described. It is not heavy, but does have some weight so that it will not easily blow over in the wind. I am very happy with the purchase.

I had been looking for a cat statue for a long time. I was shocked at the prices of concretestatues. I wanted one that was reasonably priced and that was sturdy enough for outside.This one fit the bill on both counts.

I just love this little guy, even though I think he is a tad over priced!! He is just the cutest little thing!! Excellent quality!! Simply perfection!! I have him placed in my lanai area near where I have orchids growing in an old antique bicycle planter. I made a little platform for him to sit on some Caribbean Sea stones. A dear friends Mother recently passed away; she was crazy about butterflies. I couldn’t make it to the mainland for her service, so I had sent a ficus tree with 5 butterflies on it, ( one for each of her children ) , and I did this in her honor here on Kauai for her! Each time I walk past him, he makes me smile for more than one reason!! He makes a nice little memorial gift or gift for a kitty lover for any occasion!!

I put this guy out under my bird feeder and he was adorable until the plants began to grow and he was buried. He is smaller than a real cat, but kitten like, so small is okay...I wish he was a tad bigger so I could enjoy him in more places...he does get swallowed up by plants in the spring. He is weather proof, so he can be enjoyed in the winter when the plants are dormant and provide some interest in a winter garden.

While he arrived in a package with a seal that had been broken and resealed, and it looked like he had been bought, returned and repackaged with old busted-up styrofoam, somehow this little guy arrived at our doorstep in good condition. Actually, I shouldn't call him "little," because he's a lot bigger than we expected. And a lot heavier. And a lot more durable than we imagined. We originally bought this garden statue to go in....well, the garden. But the truth is, it's much too nice and it looks like he'll be living on a table in our cat's room. Seems the two of them are a good match.At any rate, this item is quality all the way. Even though I'm pretty sure we received a returned item from someone else, we couldn't be happier. This not-so-little guy is a keeper and will be with us for many, many years to come.
