I bought two in lt gray. They are my favorite thing I bought myself for Christmas! The silk is REAL, high quality natural silk that feels amazing!! I find myself petting my pillowcase just to feel the silky softness!I searched long and hard to find the best quality for the lowest price...this is IT. As for thickness of the silk, it’s not quite as thick as the Slip silk pillowcases, but still feels like that same luxury! Once it’s on the pillow, the thickness is almost impossible to tell the difference. I would also like to add that we have both zippered and envelope silk cases at my house, and the zippered are definitely an upgrade! Because silk can be slippery, the zipper made the most sense. I wasn’t sure what I would think about the look of a zippered pillowcase. Worried I’d have to put them at the back of the pile of pillows when I made the bed.. to hide the zippers. But, you can’t even see the zipper unless you’re looking for it! What that zipper does is keep you’re beautiful silk case always perfectly on your pillow. No pillow sliding out the envelope end by morning. No fixing and refixing the case during the night. If you’re on the fence, go for the zipper...it made a bigger difference than I expected. If you’re on the fence about this purchase, my best advice is spend your money on things that make your everyday life better. These not only have all of the features I’ve listed, but also keep your hair looking perfect in the morning, especially crazy curly hair..no more bed head!
