Does it run on regular octane fuel from gas station? Or does it require special kind of liquid?** A: The tank holds about a gallon. You will need a special kind of Kerosene for these heaters. Do not use anything except the approved Kerosene, which can be purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot. Use gas and it’ll explode. Which could be fun to watch but I don’t recommend it. **Q: From the pictures, this seems like it would be easy to tip over. Is this unit stable?** A: Actually, not as easy to tip over as you would think. It is not top heavy and with the kerosene in the tank (at the bottom) it adds more weight to the bottom which makes it even more stable. And btw, when you light it, it may seem that it is not lit. But just watch the globe on it and you will see what looks like a small amount of moisture on it. It will be lit but take a few mins. to actually see a flame. I would recomend it.
