If you know Agile methodologies and just need to pass, this is the PERFECT book!
I wish I could give this book 10 stars! If you are an experienced Agile Practictioner with a true understanding of Agile and what it intends to do, this is the perfect workbook for you! I have lead Agile teams for many years and never took the PMI-ACP because I was concerned it would be much like the PMI-PMP and never be useful. Lucky for me it wasn’t! The exam was very easy after using this workbook to study. The author did a great job of getting to the point and broke the book up into 50 easy chapters with LOTS of quizzes and practices throughout. You will also have access to an only version of quizzes. The online quizzes are helpful to practice testing with them the clock running and working through the elimination process to get to the MOST correct answer in the multiple choice. If you are completely new to Agile, I’d recommend the green prep book also offered by the same author. It’s great if you have never worked in an agile environment. This workbook is framed to “pass” the exam, so it doesn’t go deep into much of the Agile Terms. It only gives you the most important 50 for which match up to the 7 domains. I only used 1.5 hours of the allotted 3 hours (120 questions), during my test at the testing center. This book I argue made me OVER prepared for the exam since I have done XP, Scrum, SAFe, LESS and Kanban in previous organizations.A few exam prep tips :1) Take advantage of the Kanban board at the front of the workbook to keep yourself moving along. I read 5 chapters each night before bed and found it handy to leave a sticky note in my To Do List for the chapters I wanted to go back to at a later time.2) Understand the 7 PMI-ACP Domains and the weighted percentage of each for the exam. I spent all of my time reviewing the tools, terms and techniques in the top 4 of seven and passed easily. I knew if I got passing marks in those 4, that I would for sure pass the entire exam and it paid off.3) There are no “trick” questions throughout the process. If you are currently a Scrum Master or on a scrum team as a team member, be sure to think about what Agile says you need to do, and not what your company has done with agile since adopting one of the methodologies.4) Don’t stress about the differences between Scrum, XP , Kanban or, value calculations. etc. As explained in the book, you won’t see that on the exam as much as you need to answer the questions with an agile mindset. This isn’t a “memorization” test. You need to understand the terminology, agile ceremonies etc just for the intent and roles throughout the agile process.Final note: I passed and this workbook propel me and my confidence on sitting for the exam through the roof.

This is ALL you want!
I am a practicing Scrum Master and I bought this book as a quick prep course to just pass the exam. This book was the only paid resource I bought for my preparation. I then realized that this is all I ever needed. This book not only played a crucial role in me passing the exam (Above Target in all areas), but I was amazed to learn so much more from this book. Even after passing the exam, I am keeping this as a Reference book to go back to, from time to time. Mike Griffith has shared key Exam tips that were so useful during the exam. The online quiz and the practice questions are fully in line with the kind of questions asked in the real exam. I love this book and recommend it to anyone who is already practicing Agile. Well done Mike.

perfect study companion to the PMI-ACP Exam Prep Book!!
the amount of situational questions described in this book hits home the agile concepts. And it is a perfect study companion to the PMI-ACP Exam prep book. Both in tandem definitely helped me to clear all sections of PMI-ACP exam with Above Target. It's a painful experience to first go over the concepts and answer the questions way way wrong. But analyzing where we went wrong with the options provided further adds to even more understanding of agile concepts. And when re-attempting them in a few days, after reading through the gaps, will give an eureka moment that is sure to help during the exam. Easily the best book (and companion study for PMI-ACP Exam prep by the same author ) for the exam. Don't think twice!!

Great resource, highly relevant to current exam
I already was a CSM and a SCP when I decided I would take a look at this exam and see if it held anything new or different. I purchased the study guide and practice question books along with this item. Having now taken and absolutely smoked the exam, I can say that the study guide and practice questions books are next to useless. There is a lot of content "copy-pasted" from the core PMI prep material that is not at all relevant to this exam, and it detracts significantly both by wasting time and, accidentally, undermining the Agile-beats-Command-and-Control priorities that should be present in any Lean/Agile educational approach. I started with those two books and became progressively more distressed at the direction the PMI seemed to be going with their point-of-view on "Agile."Both this book and the exam itself fixed that to a great degree. THIS book can actually help with prep for the exam. It is highly focused on Agile and Lean thinking and the review questions in the book are very similar to the 120 all-scenarios-all-the-time-so-you-have-to-exercise-real-judgement questions on the exam. In addition to the review questions, there are also numerous exercises.Important consideration: I took the exam in late 2017. It is due for an update in 2018. I cannot say how well this particular edition of the book will align with the new exam. They may (or may not) need to do a new edition of the book to support the new exam. So if you are taking your exam soon, this book is great. If you are taking it in 6 months, this book is still pretty good, but its efficacy may (or may not) be compromised to some degree based on how radically the exam changes.
